    I had to buy an external disc drive to put discs in. For that kind of money you shouldn't have to buy something extra for something that should have been there in the first place. That's why I wanted it

      Sorry you are unhappy with your Acer purchase. More and more computers these days are shipping without optical drives as the push for Cloud storage and USB storage has been gaining ground. Unfortunately we are unable to exchange the product and we understand you already purchased an external optical drive which is what we would have suggested. If this is not going to meet your needs we would suggest contacting the reseller from where you purchased the system to see what their exchange/refund policies are, and perhaps you can exchange it for one that has an optical drive.

    As stated in my previous review, I cannot give a positive review. I am still experiencing many problems and require technical support at least once or twice weekly. Example: yesterday I was working on a project and the printer completely shut down. I am still waiting for the technician to come and service it. From I can determine it is caused once again from the Microsoft-Windows problem. They continually want me to purchase new software and other things. It is cost prohibitive and creates too much time when I cannot use the equipment. It is very frustrating and I can’t understand the necessity for the change.

    After having used a personal computer for nearly 50 years, I bought the Acer - Aspire XC-840. Wow! Much has changed -- for the better!

    Cheap very basic pc.Wont do much more than surf the internet or send emails. Probably not worth it. Will be lookibg at other options

    The mouse stopped working so had to order new one. It is sometimes slow although when I test my internet, my internet is just fine. Also the monitor has a bubble from the tape that was on there. But it gets the job done eventually and its affordable.

    The hardest computer I’ve ever tried to run. I don’t know much, but you can’t get it to do anything you want to do when there’s no place to put a desk in to listen to anything.
