    thie was terrible and returned.you name it everything was wrong.very slow.locked up even when i went to reset it to factory specs.that took me several attempts.

    Regretting this Purchase

    I wish i knew more about computers before making this purchase because i don't think it's made for anything more than surfing the internet. I purchased this to work from home and have done upgraded my internet to the highest plan only to find that the internet to my router is maxed out, while consistently getting input a fraction of the speed on the computer. Even with all other programs closed, this computer is not capable of handling zoom meetings. I'll have to get another computer but it won't be from this store because they're return policy is less than 30 days.

    nothing but problems. started after a fews weeks. running super slow. Thought I purchase a protection plan it was for accidents only. My experience is so horrible I want to get a new computer.

    Terrible purchase. Couldnt get past the Welcome page. Had to return it after acer support couldn't resolve the problem for me after 2 attempts. No i would not recommend this product.

    Don't buy this!! It's a piece of junk

    This desktop is very poor quality. It keeps freezing and crashing. I haven't had it for a year. It's been into Geek Squad twice, they kept it for a long time, said it was ok, but I noticed it crashed on them when they returned it. Phooey. Don't buy it. It's a waste of money.

    It is either installed wrong or is defective. The screen blacks out and I have to restart, it is slow to log on and it is programed to got to the internet when I turn it or or when I am in Word or looking at settings

Enter the serial number or SNID of the PC located on the back or side of the system. Here are some steps on how to install Office 365 on another computer, that you might find helpful:

      Go to office.com/setup
      Sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account
      Enter your product key to redeem it
      Click View Account
      Click Office Apps
      Click Install Office under Office Apps & Devices

      Desktop and laptop computers without optical drives is more common because of the decline in demand, the rise of digital alternatives, and the need for more compact designs. Manufacturers can reduce costs, save space, and create thinner PCs by removing the drive, which is no longer a necessity for most users who download software and stream content. You can add a DVD drive to the Acer Aspire XC-840-UB11, either by installing an internal one or by using a compatible external USB drive. Since the model does not come with a built-in optical drive, you will need to purchase a slim SATA internal drive or a USB external drive to add DVD functionality.

This PC is not considered a gaming computer as it has 8GB memory and onboard graphics.
