At home laptop

It is a RATHER heavy piece of equipment. If I had paid more attention of the weight, I don't believe I would have purchased this item. I will keep it for a TRUE home laptop and find something else MUCH lighter to travel with.

Unacceptably fragile laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this laptop for a little over three weeks when a large crack appeared in the screen. I never dropped the laptop and hardly ever moved it. When I took it to Best Buy the Geek Squad service tech said the crack looked like it may have started from a hairline crack that was there all along. However, another service tech later told me that the manufacturer would not cover a replacement screen through the warranty. I was told the total repair cost would be as much as a new machine. The store manager told me these screens can break easily from just opening and closing. She also said there was nothing she could do for me. This laptop is designed to also be usable as a tablet so the screen is intended to be touched. A laptop this fragile is unacceptable.
