Best laptop purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for a few weeks now and use it every day. It has been trouble free from the start. Boots up quickly, runs quickly, sounds good and the screen is very sharp.

Screen light leak
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received it today. I was very excited. This is my first Acer after I had spent time with ASUS about 10 years I have read most of the reviews here. With the high rating, I expected that I made the right decision. One of the main point that I chose this laptop is FHD screen. However, my first impression was the light leak at the edge of the screen with the Acer logo in the middle. Does anyone have this problem? I hope that this is a rare case which may be caused from an ordinary error of production and I can get a replacement.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this computer is a great product for its price. The mousepad, however, does act up occasionally but it is not a significant problem considering it is touch screen

Love this laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hesitant and worried about buying this laptop because the reviews I read and I had an old Acer laptop that didn't work so well, but so far It works great! I haven't had any issues with this laptop yet. I'm not sure if I got lucky one or they fixed the display intel problem ,but so far I haven't had any issues dealing with it. The only part that I dislike about the laptop is the trackpad, its not easy to navigate sometimes. I'm going to give it 4 stars is because I only used this laptop for 2 days.

Sleek, fast, unfixable display driver crashes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seemed to be the perfect laptop: sleek, fast, with all the features I wanted. The SSD is awesome, super fast and quiet. What is not awesome is the constant display drivers crashing and recovering, then the blue screen crashes. Sent it in to Acer, it took 2 weeks, then got it back and after 23 minutes it crashed again. I am sending it in again - however, I am buying something else as this is for my business and being without laptop for weeks or months is unacceptable, especially since the issues are not being fixed.

Terrible keyboard and terrrible Acer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, customer support is in the Dominion Republic and was the worst I ever experienced. That alone was enough for me to return the Acer product. Girls with thick accents that didn't understand me so they just hung up on me. I had to call 7 times before I got a man who was English speaking and could easily answer my question, which was does the backlit have settings to stay lit all the time. A simple question. I wanted solid state drive and this one was on sale and had over 4 stars. But when I got it home I found it impossible to type on the keyboard without constantly hitting the wrong keys or the letters didn't appear when I typed them. It was way too frustrating for me and if you cannot type on it what good is it. Also, it is misleading about their backlit keyboard. Yes, it is backlit, but only for about 30 seconds and it then goes off. You then have to strike a key for it to go back on for another 30 seconds or the duration that you are typing. I want a backlit keyboard that stays lit. The manufacturer confirmed that there is no way to change that in settings. So it failed my needs. It was a nice case, lightweight, silent, and fast for my needs, but I returned it. I was going to by the 14 inch Think Pad, which was much nicer quality, raised keyboard, waterproof keyboard, and a real nice feel. But I ended up splurging and paid double for the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro because I really wanted a larger screen, and this one had the 15.6 size. The keyboard is way better, a huge difference, and backlit stays backlit. It is 4k and has the best components. Will last many more years. You get what you pay for.

disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop 1 month ago for a family member. The start up was fast and overall the laptop looks great, especially with the back lit keyboard. After several days, started having difficulty accessing windows update and security settings. spend many hours with windows online assistance, suggested its a third party application. Well after turning most 3rd party applications off, the problem reappeared. Plus unable to access google chrome on multiple occasions. Could only browse via edge. It also was having problems loading acer online care, so finally i gave up. I really wanted to keep this laptop, its really nice looking and fast but too many issues.

Excellent performance for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop for school and am on a tighter than I would like budget. This laptop gave me the extra increase in horsepower I needed for my school work. The 8 GB of RAM is sufficient and the SSD is faster than I ever imagined. An almost perfect laptop. Just wish it had backlit keys.

Acer is a bad :(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bad customer service, terrible support and sub par laptop. I purchased a Laptop from Acer yesterday. After spending 5 hours loading up the laptop, I was told by support that I have to reset the laptop to factory specs because of a registry error that Acer shipped this laptop with. Apparently ALL Acer laptops in this model were shipped with a registry error in the system. I wasted a ton of time installing software just to have to redo everything again. Acer staff was rude and was not willing to compensate me in any way shape or form. Terrible company with terrible customer service.

Best value Windows touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These have been great for us vs Lenovo Yoga Pros and Thinkpad 2-in-1s. They are especially great value on sale at Best Buy. It's too bad they are no longer available for purchase from what I could tell, as I would keep buying them for new employees.

Great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop late 2015 and have had great success with it. It's quick and I love the 360 rotating design along with the touchscreen capability. I don't have any complaints about it. It's a reliable piece of technology I use everyday.

sloooooooow!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm positive the reviews for this laptop ate fake. This is the slowest laptop I've ever owned. It takes minutes for it to turn on. Then my webpages crash or mysteriously close when I open them. And don't even think about upgrading any of the software! It literally took two hours for my Windows upgradeupgrade,- an hour & a half to upgrade , then 30 minutes for the computer screen to show anything other than a black screen. I would only recommend this to people I dislike.

For the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember when a laptop usually means less power and more money but I find a good blend of both in this laptop

Best laptop value for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mid-level laptop. Super fast start up and operation. Small (256gb) SSD drive, but who needs a big heavy drive when you can get a 3 TB personal cloud for about $150?

Bought 2 and neither worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went thru two of these unless than a week. Both kept having "display driver crash and recovery" alerts multiple times a day right out of the box. Geek squad tried to reinstall the driver to no avail and Acer folks just said take them back to Best Buy. What a waste of time- avoid this piece of junk- way too buggy!

Excellent Convertible Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is thin and light. It has an excellent screen. It seems very durable. The hinges work well converting to a tablet.
