Device: Acer continues with their yearly Chromebook update this year with Acer chromebook 315 with anti glare screen design with decent onboard 128GB eMMC storage, 4GB of Memory, this is with the Pentium N600 processor. this an entry level type of laptop so build quality is plastic and overall built was good. this chromebook also supports touch screen I find this very useful for older individuals who might not enjoying typing and honestly it’s perfect for someone with typing issues. you get a great keyboard size and a 15.6” display full HD LCD, this acer chromebook could last you about 10 hrs of battery life. it’s pretty much a standard but yes it comes with a front facing camera that is 720p. Experience: overall i’ve had experience with this one compared to previous I haven’t really felt much different from the older version, yes we do get the latest CPU but it was harder for me to tell how well these are performing compared to previous gen. my mine used of this laptop is actually using it for cloud gaming. with nvidia gforce now it’s perfect for chilling out in bed and playing some top quality games using the browsers. speaker on this Acer 315 is great clear enough. browning with this and using youtube has been a pretty quick experience I did not notice any slow down. recently visited my parents and my mom did enjoyed her time borrowing the laptop while I was around. Conclusion: I don’t really have any negatives things to say about this Acer 315 chromebook, from my experience this laptop just works. before buying just a reminder that this is a chromebook so you will not have windows 11 OS. so if you use google apps on use most of their services I think a chromebook would be a perfect fit for you. or like I mentioned before this is always the perfect gift for elder people who just want to browse talk on messenger with family with dealing with other features/ app that would not matter to them at all. it’s light weight enough not so heavy. it looks good it’s simple and great built quality

      Hello Nicholas,
We are sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. Chromebooks are different from Windows laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on-board storage but they also are not expensive either. Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet so you cannot download and install applications or .exe files. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better. If you have questions on using your Chromebook please contact our support team at 1-866-695-2237, chat or social media, and we will be glad to help.

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review.

The Acer - Chromebook 315 - 15.6" HD Laptop - Intel Pentium Silver N6000 - 4GB LPDDR4X - 128GB eM is a step up from previous Chromebooks that I have owned. The first positive attribute I noticed, right out of the box, was its weight. This Chromebook does not feel like your typical lightweight flimsy Chromebook. It is sturdy and well built with a compactness that delivers performance just as good as a larger big named laptop. All of the most used Google apps are available. I have access to Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat, Keep. TV, Screencast, etc. Google meet allows me to have premium video meetings for free. I can use Phone hub to connect to my phones’ hotspot, silence and locate my device and view recent Chrome tabs on my phone and I can text on my Chromebook after pairing with my phone. Along with the Google Play store for installing apps, there is the Chrome web store for attaching extensions. Gestures can be used to switch between apps and interact with the Chromebook. It has screencast that allows me to create and record my screens lessons and demonstrations. I can make drawings on a blank page with canvas. With the editing, customization features, file management capabilities, app organizing capacity, family features and several other beneficial features, the Acer - Chromebook 315 - 15.6" HD Laptop - Intel Pentium Silver N6000 - 4GB LPDDR4X - 128GB eM is a powerful addition for use with my phone on the go with my mobile lifestyle.

I was recently surprised when I got my first laptop and started using it I sold dozen of them in the past and didn't think much of them Until I got one to use myself. With the Chromebook, I only bought one for client, set up AOL dial-up and that was all my experience. I must admit times have changed a great deal and setting up the Chromebook was to be an exciting experience, After all, the massive amount of apps available, primarily because of the cell phone revolution, was daunting. Every functionality available, homegrown and professionally, would be at my fingertips far more then the competitions app stores after all, the foundation of Chrome was based on Internet applications so knowledge of their OS at its root level would not be necessary for geeks in order to set up a system that can perform all the tasks somebody might want; you just need to browse Apps and time to learn them. Since I've grown old and the many new features in the field have improved interfaces, I no longer desire to geek my way through This is a nice lure. The system is underpowered for current times; the technological boost means the Chromebook setup far in the past that acted like a fast workstation has become a super workstation. The hard storage capacity now SSD could have been a tiny bit bigger in capacity rather than the same size as my legacy setup. Internet speed was phenomenal for those who are attached to there cell phones and a full-screen GUI will be comfortable traversing to the Chromebook However, that tells the basic story of the Chromebook, It's a rather large, very light, reasonably powered smart phone with extra ports that can make it easier to read play games and listen to music, along with its smartphone-type interface being easier to use. This Acer Chromebook, however, ultimately was disappointing. No Touchscreen, Backlit keyboards or sub-standard speakers seems that someone cut one too many “must-haves” to get the cost down. I eventually did decide to set it up for my senior at home and only time will tell if it turns out to be a positive product in my life. I know the first Chromebook I jury-rigged for a senior client gave her the capacity to use it to talk to her daughter in Florida to type down some recipes and even hook up an external hard disk to store some of her writings for her diary and journal, which for the most part is enough for people who just want to stay relevant in this new electronic world and keep in contact with friends and loved ones through the Internet with less hoopla involved with trackers and hackers. I am somewhat amazed that the netbooks, Chromebooks, and watered-down celerons have not completely vanished in the coming of a smartphone and super-laptops that do basically everything and anything that this computer wannabe product do. The other exceptional feature to be mentioned is the fact that you could come home with your smartphone, whose memory is full of pictures and social media messages are taxing your speed, whose apps are overwhelming and even if you lost or damaged your smartphone, you can use this Chromebook as a supplement or a backup. The slew of apps on the Internet can emulate just about everything on your smartphone and for many people at a ridiculously lower price. I cannot rate it one star because it's far from totally useless, just underpowered for a computer geek like me. Oh yes, one more mention: since xxx 365 spreadsheets word processors photo enhancements and even movie makers and games are online and you don't mind having your information in the cloud, then this workstation would be a good buy, and an intelligent smart home control system that you could control smart devices makes it a viable and cheap alternative.

    A affordable laptop that works

This review is for the Acer Chromebook 315. The Acer Chromebook is a solid option for those seeking an affordable, lage-screen Chromebook for basic tasks such as web browsing, media consumption, light productivity and home work. This Chromebook sports a 15.6 inch screen, which is larger than most Chromebooks in this price range. The display offers a decent viewing experience for the price. It’s definitely not like a 4K experience. And could be a turn off for some users, I’m sure. But it gets the job done. And the bezels around the screen is somewhat large, giving it a slightly outdated look. However, the overall design is functional, with a sturdy plastic build that feels durable enough for daily use. The keyboard is spacious, making it comfortable to type on for extended periods. I found the trackpad a little jumpy, but useable. It’s powered by an Intel Pentium silver N6000 and is equipped to handle typical tasks like web browsing, streaming videos, and working on google Docs of Sheets. It’s not built for heavy multitasking or demanding applications, so don’t expect it to handle high-end gaming or advanced video editing. The 4GB of RAM is enough for smooth performance under moderate workloads, but having to many tabs open can slow things down a bit. The battery life has been great so far, with more than enough power to last a whole day or two depending on usage. With out having to be plugged in. Connectivity the Chromebook offers a good range of ports, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. The USB-C ports allow for charging and date transfer which adds flexibility.
