This laptop is fine for just viewing shows, movies etc. I do like it but after I started using it the volume keys stopped working. That is the only thing wrong with this laptop. Sound on the Chromebook is just well "not a thing". It sounds like crap! But that's ok with what I use it for. It's an inexpensive device for what you get also it's a touch screen which I love.

Acer - Chromebook 315 Laptop-15.6" Full HD Touch- 4GB LPDDR4-64GB With a generous 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 full HD touch screen, four gigs of RAM, 64 gigabytes of storage, and a day long battery life of up to 12.5 hours, this Chromebook has an awful lot going for it. Given its low cost, you really get a lot of bang for the buck, so I would expect it to be popular in schools (with both teachers and students) as well as with folks who work remotely part (or all) of the time, and who want a reliable, low-cost “work” device. It has a solid feel, a sharp touchscreen, and the keyboard even includes a full numeric keypad. Since Google includes the Docs, Sheets and Slides apps with this Chromebook, you don’t have to purchase a subscription to MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, so there’s even more savings. And to top it all off, Acer even includes a nice protective travel sleeve with this Chromebook. I prefer to keep my city work files separate from my personal files (they’re stored on my personal laptop). This Chromebook allows me to download and store information relating to my city work, including downloading and storing meeting agendas which can often run from 200 to 300 pages long. Then, when I’m attending a meeting or a conference session, I’m able to use the Chromebook-stored agendas, which I much prefer over the paper versions. And using this Chromebook, I don’t have to worry about being on a public network when I’m working away from home, since the only thing on my device will be city items like agendas, conference schedules and other city work-related items which are, by law, public records anyway. And, if I’m making a presentation, I can have the presentation loaded on the Chromebook. I can also use it to take notes at a meeting or conference. Since it has a front-facing camera and a built-in microphone, I also plan to use this Chromebook for Zoom meetings from wherever I’m at, be it at home, a hotel, a conference or whatever. Again, this could be an ideal setup for ANY remote worker who may need to check in to work from home or any number of remote locations. Despite the low cost, there are several connectivity options on this unit. Besides wireless networking, there are two USB A ports (one on each side, which is a nice touch when it comes to flexibility in connecting devices) and two USB C ports, including the type C charging ports. There’s also a microphone input port and a port for locking the device. Connecting my mouse to this device via Bluetooth was a snap, as was connecting the device to the internet. I have a number of networks, and the Wi-Fi option in the Settings found them all. Since I will not be storing my personal files on the Chromebook, should I ever misplace or have the unit stolen, I won’t have to worry about losing them. For me, that’s peace of mind at a very economical price. And it comes with a one-year warranty on parts and labor. Since Google has set the auto update expiration (AUE) on this model to June 2027, that means you have more than four years to enjoy full support and updates. So, for now, enjoy this Chromebook, knowing that you’re certainly going to be getting your money’s worth!
