Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you buy your Chromebook online you won't know the manufacture date until you get purchased item, and it is very likely that the item you buy has been in stock long enough to be out of warranty. That is what happened to us. We called Acer for support and gave the Serial Number. had a manufacture date of over a year ago. We had to pay $80 for a one time fee from AnswersBy to get help with the Chromebook reading an external drive. Even though several websites said that the drive we'd chosen was compatible with Chromebook, the AnswersBy personal said they could not find any documentation on using the item, and couldn't tell us what to do . Wasted money. Doesn't matter how great the speed or basic features of the product are, if you're going to into problems and not have support. Remember, there's probably a reason that an item is on sale, and there are issues to buying old shelf-life products. Any savings from this item being on sale got eaten up by support fees, and it would have been the same if we'd bought BestBuy support Next time I'll want to buy a brand new computer, not one that's been sitting on a shelf for a year.
