I love the backlighting on the keyboard. The battery life is amazing. The big screen is helpful when doing schoolwork. The graphics are topnotch. By far, best laptop I've owned.

Had a $4000 Dell gaming laptop the Alienware x15 and this thing is loads better than that thing. It's better design and and doesn't use a proprietary charging solution. The ports are in a standard and accessible location. The keyboard lighting is matte and easy on the eyes instead of too bright like that mediocre Dell machine. Love it. The screen is super high res. Great for watching a movie or doing other stuff. The speakers are loud and clear - good for checkin' out a podcast. With a decent internet connection Fortnite runs pretty good on it but haven't checked out any other games yet.

I was able via GeForce Now to play a few of my Steam games and EPIC games, not every Steam or EPIC game works, but it does play them and not too bad via WiFi, all though if I had a dedicated Ethernet connection in my living family room I'm sure that game play would be a lot soother. The display screen is very nice, and for the first time I was able to connect to our printer via WiFi, my old Chromebook just would not connect to it. Installed LibreOffice via Linux terminal and works perfect, Really like that is has an 256GB SSD for storage, my old Chromebook had just 32GB which was always a struggle to maintain updates and have the apps I wanted or needed, but now that isn't a problem.

Great for casual gaming. I play lot of games that require higher specs and it plays fine. Although I do recommend also getting laptop fan cooler so it doesn’t get too hot.

I got this device for a relative and it was super fast! For a Chromebook, it's definitely one of the best ones I've used. The 120hz screen makes it feel so snappy and it's awesome to use.

To be up front I'm not a gaming type person, I bought this for the price BB had at the time. This is replacing a 7 year old 17" windows machine and what I did in the chrome browser I can do the same with this one. The first thing I noticed was the screen being a IPS panel text was sharper. When I turned up the brightness images and video really stood out compared to the old machine.
If there is one thing about the stated resolution seems high for me and yes I have it lowered so I can read text on the screen. The reason must be for 2K & 4k video.
If your a gamer I would say this has enough hp/hardware to get the job done.
The way I use this CB if it wasn't for the price I wouldn't buy it, if your emailing / texting/ watching YT and just general surfing there are others to look at, but if the price is right for you go for it.
I tried the Acer 514 spin, but the 14" screen was small for 83 year old eyes.
Have a few Android apps installed and haven't had any problems with them. Tried Instagram but the window was phone size only.
Do the research on this CB
Over all I'm pleased with this Acer CB.

Nice screen size, fast processor. It immediately upgraded to Chromebook Plus. Only complaint is the keyboard illumination is not very bright. Looks fine in the dark but hard to even see otherwise.

This is the best Chromebook for my use. I work at a auto dealership and use the gaming Chromebook as my primary device. It’s fast for all of my open tabs. I love the instant boot up. The user experience is easy. This laptop replaced my Windows Surface Pro 8. I do not miss the touch screen and I really enjoy the 16 inch matte display. I work in sunlight all day this has not glare. I do not miss Windows. Every application I need is available in the play store.

I have two kids in school and decided to upgrade them to the Acer 516GE. I installed 2TB drives, installed the beta version of Steam, and even configured Linux to run inside ChromeOS. The display is lovely, same for the keyboard and trackpad. It feels rather large though ... it needs to be placed on a table rather than your lap. Find one on sale and scoop it up. Great Chromebook, decent cloud gamer.

Excellent chromebook. The fourth chromebook i have owned and second one I've owned at this price. This one is hands down superior. Build quality, keyboard and screen put this one at the top. With a good internet connection the gaming on Nvidia is impressive due to this screen. Works and plays very impressively.

My MacBook Pro M1 unexpectedly crashed so I looked for the best sale. At $450 this Acer felt like a steal. So far, it has not disappointed. I am using it mostly for productivity and so far tools like Asana, Slack, Miro work well. I'm not a serious gamers but gaming with an XBOX controller has been great as well. So far happy with the purchase. Plastic around the screen feels a bit flimsy though.

Good general-purpose machine for surfing the web, streaming and basic computer tasks. I don't play games on it, so I can't review it for that purpose. I leave it plugged in, so I don't know about the battery life. I replaced a Windows desktop with this laptop. For those of us who don't need to download software or use specialized applications, this laptop is more than adequate.

This Acer Chromebook does everything I need it to. The OS runs quickly and without hitches, and the hardware impresses me consistently. The monitor looks beautiful when I play games, and the plug-and-play ability to utilize any peripheral I throw at it keeps the entertainment rolling. This device also works well for video calls, with a high quality camera built in. For laptop specific uses, I would never go back to a windows or apple machine. 10/10, would recommend.
