    This laptop is a limited use device. If you only need to be on the internet or use e-mail it is fine. Without its own hard drive to save new documents or work on existing documents it is very frustrating. My experience it that Google Chrome will not even allow documents to be saved to an external hard drive! It forces you to use the Google Cloud to save your documents which quickly fills up and causes you to purchase additional storage at a monthly cost! Spend more money and get an internal drive and possibly Microsoft Office for Powerpoints, Spreadsheets, and Word Processing.

Chromebooks are different from Windows laptop products in that they are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Because of this they don’t have much for on-board storage but they also are not expensive either. Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet so you cannot download and install applications or .exe files. If you need to use third party software applications that must be installed on the computer, a Chromebook is likely not for you, where a Windows laptop would suit you better.

    Was told this could be used as a gaming lap top but not quite in so upset a wasted Xmas gift but if you need it for anything else it's perfect

    Don't buy this chrome book. It has a keyboard defect. I've had the chromebook replaced and now the same thing is happening with the replacement chromebook. Time for a different manufacturer. Obviously this model has keyboard issues

    Fast Chromebook but questionable quality

    Processor and screen are fine, but the battery 60 day old Chromebook barely lasts 3 hours. Nonsense.

    Microsoft edge versus Chrome

    This laptop only comes with edge not Google or chrome. Not familiar with working with Microsoft although it is Windows but still was not compatible with chrome.

      Chromebooks come with Google Chrome operating system and browser. Microsoft Edge can be downloaded from Google Play Store but it is not necessary to use the Chromebook. You can remove Edge from the Chromebook as well, if desired.     They lost my laptop! No more needs to be said. The manager at the Phoenix Camelback store was rude. The one in Tucson is slightly better, but not by much!

    If I could leave zero stars I would. Screen cracked after two weeks. Zero idea how it happened. Sent it back to Acer since that was the recommendation of the tech and it would cost more to fix it than what I paid. Internal crack that you cant see. JUNK. I would like to say you get what you pay for, but I don’t even feel like I got that. Do not buy!

      This type of damage does not occur due to age or normal usage of the device therefore this type of damage is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.     auto update lockup

    Laptop has locked up on me twice now. Seems to be associated with auto updates and I don't see any way to stop auto updates.
