Solid computer but battery life is a little disappointing.

Bought it to take on a cruise with me to play DVD's. Had trouble loading the software. I took it to Geek Squad, and they were useless. Then called Geek Squad and was told they didn't support Chromebooks??? Needless to say, the purpose for which I bought it didn't deliver.

I have purchased a fair amount of TV’s, Laptops, and Chromebooks from Best Buy over the years, but after this transaction that will not be the case going forward. On July 12 I purchased a Chromebook which was on sale. The screen started going on and off, so I returned it July 26, hoping to get an exchange. This was 14 days after purchase and with in the return/exchange period listed on their website. The clerk handling the return was very pleasant, and I never lost my cool while discussing options. They would refund my initial sale price. But since the sale was over the item’s normal price was a little over !00 higher they would not let me exchange it for the same item. A manager confirmed that they would exchange it. There was some mention that the sale price included a 30 or 60 day free subscription to YouTube premium and or some antivirus software. I already have a premium subscription so that was of no use to me, nor is the antivirus software. I am not sure if this is how they get around not honoring an exchange. But. Since the largest online retailer will allow customers to return/exchange items, that is where I will be making purchases in the future.

Good Chromebook for my 7 year old at an incredible price.

It is adequate for light use and I have no complaints.

This device reminds me of my "other" major laptop, similar in both looks, its silver color and overall build. The Acer Chromebook in my opinion is an entry level computer, which lacks large hard drive storage space, as well as a large amount of RAM (random access memory) but it tends to do a decent job for my intents and purposes. In defense of this Chromebook, this item is not meant to compete with those "other" products and I'm quite pleased with the product's speed and multi-tasking capabilities. The device has a nice keyboard layout, which tends to be responsive and easy to use. The spacing of the keys is perfect for me and reaching the upper and lower keys was easy. It has a super thin design and so far during my testing, battery life tends to be stellar. It is super lightweight and doesn't bog you down with weight. The device has a very simplistic look to it with no fancy bells and whistles, which is fine by me as I basically use this product for composing emails and surfing the internet. The device has Google messaging and Google Meet which I will use in the future, and you can access tons of Android apps for your pleasure or work duties. I found the after extensive usage, the product remains cool on my lap. The unit's performance is smooth, and I encountered no stuttering effects. I navigated websites efficiently and quickly. With its 64 gigabytes of storage, it should be just perfect for casual consumers. The product lacks an abundance of ports, so I would suggest paying attention to exactly what you might need. So far, I am loving this new device. It runs well and so far, it doesn't run hot. Although the build of this product is plastic, it seems to be manufactured fairly well. The unit is versatile, light, has a good price point and should make shoppers looking for an entry level machine super happy.

My husband really likes his. He mostly uses it like an iPad. I, on the other hand, got so frustrated with mine, I haven't touched it in two weeks.

Okay laptop poor video quality very basic but the price was good.

I got the Acer Chromebook spin 311 for both of my kids. They absolutely love it and fight over it all the time. This is the computer that we take on trips, both short trips and long vacations. It's super lightweight, the battery lasts a very long time and it was easy to set up. The charger is USB-C, but the inverter that it comes with is actually heavier than the actual computer. Which is one of the few cons that we have. They love that you can flip the keyboard backwards into a lay flat position and use it like a tablet. Or you can have the keyboard in front and use it as a computer to type on. My daughter's written a couple papers for school as well as played all her favorite games. I'm a tiny bit worried because the weight is so light that one accidental drop may break it, but so far so good! My kids are constantly fighting over who gets to use it, which is a plus. I would highly recommend this computer if you are looking for an easy travel laptop that does everything you need it to do and more!!
