This my first Chromebook and it has exceeded my expectations. Quick to set up and feels just like my previous Windows notebook, especially if you already use google and gmail.

There are many features about the chromebook I love but I wish it had come with more instructions and information.

Purchased Chromebook for my 12 yr old granddaughter and she loves it. She is able to do her homework assignments for school and play all the online games that she enjoy, therefore, I couldn't be happier.

The trackpad doesn't work well. It is difficult to use, and it glitches constantly. Also, something is wrong with the speakers/sound. The sound is very quiet, despite upward facing speakers. This machine is supposed to be optimized for Google Meetings and I have tried valiantly in the past 3 weeks to use it for meetings, but although the camera is excellent, there is a constant echo. People say it sounds like I am shouting but my voice is garbled and they are receiving feedback. It get s better for them when I turn my microphone off. But I am also not able to hear others on the call clearly when my microphone is on. There is an echo, and they keep breaking up. I thought it was my internet connection, so I had a service call, and it isn't the connection. I don't have this problem on any of my other devices. Unfortunately, this machine is past the return date or I would return it in a minute. I don't know if I got a dud or what, but I paid $729.00 for a Chromebook that doesn't work.

Picked this up at $499 and glad I did. I've been waiting for a powerful chromebook at a reasonable price. Runs linux and android apps with no issue. Highly recommended.

Per CNET, this was reviewed as the best overall Chromebook and it has lived up to its reputation. In addition, it meets our price point. Great value all around!

Works as it should but the battery life could be a little better

Very user friendly. Easy to set up with Google account and start working on files again. Had all the extras I needed. Great screen and good camera for zoom meetings.

While it works fine they really need to make these tougher. We are required to have a Chromebook for school and while our past one squeaked out a school year. I just got this one a couple weeks ago and it’s already bent!

I like everything about it! So much easier to deal with than any Windows laptop I've had the last few years. Quiet, quick, very nice resolution.

Great multifunctional tool. This device is fast to respond and turns on and off quickly. It contains a lot of options and has great compatibility.

Do not buy!!!!! After 6 months it turns on only when it wants to. I have tried everything. Works fine when it turns on....if you can get it to turn on. JUNK

On button seems hard to use it is recessed have to press hard

I've been using the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 for about a month to do school work and other activities, and it performs excellently. Compared to other Chromebooks I've used in the past this is by far the best with second place being another Acer Chromebook. The battery life isn't great but is good enough to last a single day's worth of usage and still have some battery left over, however, luckily the charging is quick so if it dies you can get it charged up pretty quickly in about 3 hours. It is also pretty cool that you can see how much longer the battery will last if you click the button in the bottom right corner. The keyboard is extremely satisfying to type on with a slight click but not too loud that it gets obnoxious to use. The wide display is nice on the eyes and not too bright that it gives you headaches but bright enough to see very clearly. This Chromebook runs very smoothly and works great and can even run certain games without any hitching or delay. Setting this Chromebook up is extremely easy and anyone could understand how to do it. Connecting to wifi is also very easy, upon turning on the Chromebook it provides you a list of all available wifis to join, and later on, is just as easy to join a different connection. The dockable stylus works great when you need and it has a few different modes that can make it helpful for doing art or presenting projects. The Chromebook is filled with some pretty good hardware for the price point and it's surprising that it's not too heavy for its size, which makes it nice to carry around in a backpack all day. The body of the Chromebook comes with two USB-C ports one on each side, this makes it handy to charge it no matter which way you're facing. On the left side, it has an HDMI port and a headphone jack, as well as a power button. On the right side, there is also a USB type A port, and a volume button. The trackpad works great and has no hold-up or friction so my fingers glide along its surface smoothly. The screen is made with a very protective antimicrobial gorilla glass which has kept this thing scratchless for the first month of usage. All around I really love this device and the quality of the build, Acer never fails to impress with its Chromebooks and this one takes the cake. I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent chrome book. I researched a lot of laptops and chrome books before this purchase and I’m very pleased with my choice.

After my last laptop was dropped and became unrepairable. I had to upgrade ... Awesome laptop exactly what I needed.

So far this has been a good investment. Runs fast. I have no complaints.
