The only problem was that a huge black box with information on it suddenly appeared on the screen, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to go away. So, I finally bought a new monitor.

I should've read more about it. It's okay if you want to add a second monitor to you basic laptop or computer but if you want it as a main monitor, it does NOT carry audio to which I think it's stupid that it's an HDMI
