I wanted an extended display for my MacBook Pro and I have been researching for a display that is both economic as well as has a lot of screen space. I found it on a sale for 89$ and I decidied to give it a try. The picture quality is superior and crisp in comparison to other displays in the same range. But again, comparing it to macbook's retina is unfair. The only issue I found is the buttons on the monitor. It's kind of hard to set up or change the brightness etc. I constantly use my screen and I like to keep my screens in low brightness while working and in a fairly high bright mode while watching movies. It's hard to keep switching between modes and the preset modes do not do much help. But the display does its job and I personally love it!

So far I'm thrilled with my purchase. I replaced an 11 year-old flat screen that worked, but was technically ancient. I ordered my Acer online and picked it up the same day. I opened the box, assembled the base (no tools required), plugged HDMI cable (included) into my Mac Mini, plugged in the power cord, turned it on and began to use it. The resolution is better than anything in my house (including my MacBook Pro). The colors are rich, contrast good; no adjustments whatsoever. The viewing angle is one of the reasons I chose this monitor and I'm not disappointed. There is practically no border to the monitor, so when the monitor's off it's essentially a black piece of glass on a black stand. My original Samsung cost $400, so I'm very happy with the price. Con: The buttons (lower right bottom) are not marked (other than a small symbol for the power), but when you press one you get an onscreen menu. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit of a mystery at first. The "on" button emits a downward shining blue light, but that goes off when the monitor's asleep. All that said, once I turned the monitor on I no longer need to use the buttons at all.

Bought a new Dell desktop last year and finally upgraded my monitor. Display is awesome! Will be great for watching HD content. But another bonus is the HDMI connection for hooking up laptops, smartphones, etc. besides the optimal connection for a PC. Only minus is no speakers but most people like myself have a speaker system with their pc anyway.

For the price, the quality of the monitor is quite superb. I use it for gaming and school work. Happy with the service for both. Contemplating purchasing another for 2 screens.

It’s not anti-glare and they shouldn’t be marketing it that way. That said, the picture is very good. I compared monitors from three different stores and I felt like this one had the best and most natural picture within this price range. I would give it five stars, except that it doesn’t have VESA holes. I don’t know why the Acer people left that off. That would have made it perfect. Instead, it’s just very good.

Bought the Complete Acer Package and I love it. This screen really pops and is very easy on the eyes!

I got this on sale for roughly 28% off, and for the price, I could not ask for more. I am coming from a 15.6" laptop screen that was practically colorless, had hot spots all over it, and was not very clean. Coming to this monitor is like a dream come true, and for the price, you can't go wrong. It's an IPS display, offering nice saturated colors, and nice deep rich blacks. I tried it with some games, and the response time of the IPS is pretty good. I really like the design of the bezel, how the glass of the screen continues past the edges of the screen, somewhat similar in spirit to Apple computers. Also, it's really nice that this monitor has three types of inputs (VGA, DVI, and HDMI), along with an audio out when you're using it with HDMI. My only two complaints about this display are the buttons, and the brightness. The buttons took me a good 15 minutes to get the hang of, but I eventually got it. Could be better. The screen is a little dim at full brightness, but it's not nearly as bad as the old days where just a little sunlight would render a CRT unreadable. At this point I'm just nitpicking. Overall, you can't go wrong with this monitor for the price. I'm the type of person that never leaves a review for a product unless it is bad, so take it from me that I am seriously impressed with this product given how little I paid for it.

Pros: Beautiful vibrant colors. 5ms good enough for gaming and video. No dead pixel. Accurate Colors. Non-glossy bezel or stands = no distraction. Con: Screen is reflective but sometimes use it as mirror :D Had this baby for 6+months now and everything still working great.

Ive owned this monitor for about 6 months and I have had no problems, I just bought a second one actually! (one for my computer and one for my playstation 4). I saw this monitor had one star reviews so I checked them out. Those people that gave bad reviews are talking about dead pixels which are just a matter of having a monitor, that happens sometimes to many different above average monitors. Also others gave one star for the monitor not having speakers, that is at the fault of the buyer not looking at the specifications list, not the build quality of the product.

The good: Right out of the box this monitor was easy to set up with out any use of the owners manual. The image it displays is very sharp and vibrant compared to other monitors I have owned in the past. The face of the unit has a very modern look being almost completely flat. There is only a little trim along the bottom edge giving it less of a boxy feel than other similar monitors. This also makes a nicer setup for dual monitors as you could put two of them next to each other and almost feel as if they were the same device. The inputs and outputs are more than what i need out of this monitor, but its nice to have them there if i ever run into a situation that i would want to use them. The bad(very minor at that): you may have to mess around with the monitors menu buttons a bit to understand how it operates. After you press a menu button the navigation menu is displayed on the screen and you have to look at the text on the screen to know what buttons to hit.

I have two of these monitors setup and have been running perfectly fine. Goes on sale to around $100 quite often so try to buy it then. Waiting for that so I can get my third. Have had these though for about a year and a half I would say.

I read allot of positive reviews on this monitor and decided to get it. I'm very happy with it so far, and got it on sale for $ 129.99. I never bought an Acer brand product before, but I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality monitor.

I am not a big fan of Acer computers since I had 2 that died on me. But I read good things about their monitors and decided to try this one with my Asus VivoPC....well now I want a 2nd one to run dual monitors! Clear image, thin profile...great quality!!!

I just purchased this today and I am completely in love!! I mean the resolution is amazing and the monitor is flat and hugeeee which makes images look way much better. I feel like everything is in HD , well it is but wow . Everyone should get it !!

I bought one of these for a less than 2 yr old Dell that broke. Unbelievable quality for the price. I can see this really is a monitor worth $180 so a great buy at $99. Plus only $10 for a 4 year replacement plan. I plan on picking up 3 more of these today I'm so impressed. Another big plus is DVI-D, VGA and HDMI inputs AND cables for each are in the box!

I bought this monitor as a secondary monitor, but ended up liking it so much that I made it my primary monitor and demoted my original one. The color, contrast, and clarity are great for text, youtube, and gaming that I use it for.

I bought this to go with my Mac mini. I was concerned about compatibility, but had no issues. All I did was plug it in and it worked! Everything is crisp and clear, and my games look amazing! Very happy with this purchase.

I've had it for 6 months now, the only downside is there's no VESA mount, which I wish i'd researched earlier. It's an IPS screen, great angles, great picture, fiddly menu (but they all are)

The monitor is a great bargain and allows for very sharp text. However, there is no VESA mount if you plan on mounting this monitor side by side. An eye opener - VESA is an option, not standard on monitors.

I bought this monitor about 6 months ago and it has been great. Good size. Great picture quality, and great price.
