Nice design, no extra border on three sides & excellent viewing quality! I am impressed. I see HD 1080p movie and TV & as second monitor with excitement and thrill. I was skeptical for the first few months to write review as fine products go bad very soon but not this one, til date. I really love it.

I don’t know why everyone loves this monitor it sucks ! i owned and Acer X233H since 2009, and it finally died a happy death. After a fruitful long life! I’m sad to say this monitor (H236HL) Sucks! heres a list of problems 1) it’s a fracken mirror, any dark area in movies, pictures, games, you see your reflection, unless you make it completely dark in your house! and turn up the brightness and contrast to 100%. causing eye strain. 2) light bleeds from 3 of the 4 corners 3) pictures, text, games are not as sharp as they were on my X233H. 4) can not access some menu functions IE: Focus. and clock why put them there if u cant use them 5) instruction manual sucks, while not rocket science, you will have to figure out for yourself how to put this thing together and use the menu buttons I am so disappointed in this product i switched brands and went with ASUS, wish me luck

This monitor is the best i have ever seen. The Ips technology that Acer put in this monitor is outstanding unlike gaming monitors where its hard to see any angles of whats on the screen with out being directly in front on it. I will definitely be buying the 27 inch model. Excellent Acer

I brought this monitor for my home camera system. The color is amazing and it is just the right size monitor for me to watch my cameras. Very great monitor!!

I laugh whenever I boot up in the morning. The screen view is insanely awesome compared to my old 18 incher (Acer). As usual, the settings were maxed out so the screen was so bright it couldn't be looked at. Got things adjusted and wham, an insanely great screen pic for an average user like myself. My previous monitor was an Acer so I guess I'm an Acer guy now. No one can go wrong buying this monitor. 3 years parts and labor warranty. Not bad. Only downside, I personally don't need a paperclip magnetic base but oh well. Gotta throw in at least one complaint. Makes my pens rock around so all's not lost.

I got the screen at a sale, great screen especially for the price, my games and videos look great on the screen. One note to anyone looking to buy the screen is that it is a high gloss screen, meaning if the room you are in is very bright you will get reflections in the screen. Adjustment buttons can be a little difficult to push but I used them once anyway. The monitor also has an audio jack on the back which works when an an hdmi cord is used, I don't need to reach down to my computer to use my headphones Make sure to calibrate the settings when you bring home the monitor to get the best possible picture.

I purchased this monitor after such high reviews on this and other online shopping sites. The price was excellent, the picture looks fantastic...but there was a large scattering of dead pixels in the lower left corner. I tried using remedies found online, but nothing worked. I exchanged it the next day to a different store in case the original store had a shipment of bad monitors, hooked it up, and there was an even bigger cluster of dead pixels in the lower left corner. I returned it once again to another different store, and now I have a cluster in the bottom left, as well as random dead pixels all over the screen. If you don't mind dead pixels all over your monitor, this is absolutely worth the price. Otherwise, stay away from this monitor, and I would say Acer as a brand overall.

I am an avid video editor and I wanted to buy a second monitor for my set up. When it arrived I couldn't believe the difference between it and my old one!! Deep blacks, bright whites, amazing color! Great for meticulous color grading! Downs: -The monitor is rather glossy and I can see my reflection really easily in an average lit room. -Even though it claims to be borderless, there is about a half inch of edge. But for $99, it's a steal!

Just buy it... you won't go wrong. It has a stunning picture, and the value is really high for the money. Everything I have watched in HD on it has just been tremendous looking. One of the nice things that got me to buy it over other monitors in this size range was just simply that it has a 3.5mm audio jack on the back of it, allowing me to leave my speaker system plugged in all the time, whether I have my laptop connected or not... so all I have to do is just plug & play the HDMI and the power to the 'puter.

I am very happy with the picture quality and ease of hook up. The only negative is location of power and menu buttons...not labeled and can't see them. Other than that, very happy.

I use this monitor for work and it is great for working on graphic art projects or simply having a crisper screen for reading websites and emails. Colors are bright and true and match my Mac laptop very well. The only problem I have encountered is when connected to my Mac, the monitor causes and issue where it stops the audio from playing. There are audio features in the monitor settings but I haven't had any luck figuring out how to fix this. Sound comes through my headphones connected to my Mac, but not through the Mac speakers...I have to disconnect the screen from the laptop to use the speakers.

for the previous buyer that had bad experience with this monitor is due to their limitation knowledge of computer or got a defective unit. the first unit got this black dot so I exchange for another unit. everything work great. able to hear sound with my external speaker and HDMI cable. it way better than HP 23BW and Dell, even the Samsung 23.6 that sold at the store. I would recommend this to my friends and those who had a well balance knowledge in the computer

I am extremely impressed with the performance of this monitor. I am using it in a 2-monitor set-up and I have enjoyed it since day one. I am even happier I got it when it was on sale. In fact, I love it so much I have to leave a review (this is my first). I don't think anybody can be disappointed at this monitor. Well, if you compare it to a 4k monitor that you have to spend $300 plus on, that's not a fair comparison.

Couldn't ask for a better moniter for busines and everyday use. I do not intend to use it for anything extremely technical, like graphics, but great for creating and reading documents in general. Functionally great also--size, weight. Best of all it was easy to set up on my eight year old Dell XPS laptop, which could have easily been a nightmare. If you need a moniter for a better view of what is on your laptop screen, this one is fabulous!

I bought this monitor (not on display at the store) after much research, but apparently not quite enough research. The Best Buy description says it has a nonglare screen, but that is not the case. The screen is GLOSSY. Otherwise this is a terrific monitor: great brightness, color, blacks, detail, uniformity, super thin bezel, DVI input, 3 yr warranty. Highly recommended when on sale, if you can live with the glossy screen surface..
