Dispite the Quad core processor, this device was very slow in openong and closing programs. Had a hard time accessing the internet and when I was fortunate enough to actually connect to the net, it kept freezing. I trashed it. Would seriously NOT RECOMMEND this product to be purchased.

This tablet worked perfectly until the charging port disintegrated. My son loved it, and then it just stopped working after about 3 months. It wouldn't charge... the plastic piece inside the charging port was in tatters. It didn't look like it snapped off, it looked worn down, kind of... anyway, it doesn't work anymore. waste of money.

The Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A40 looks to me like the best ecconomy 10 inch Android tablet Best Buy currently offers or the least expensive Mid-range 10 inch Android tablet. The Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A40 has a 32 GB drive, 2 GB of RAM, a quad core CPU and Android 7.0. The The Acer B3-A40 boots up from power on to password prompt in 50 seconds, a mid range Samsung 9.7 tablet upgraded to Android 7.0 boots from power on to password prompt in 33 seconds. Several ecconomy 10 inch tablets I checked that have Android 7.0 and only 1 GB of RAM and take 80 seconds or more to boot from power on to password prompt. My experiance is that Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A40 works well with Netflix and other streaming video entetainment although at only at HD resolution. It also does a smoother job of web browsing then the ecconomy tablets with 1 GB of RAM or less and it has a decent 8 to 9 hour battery life while doing web browsing and email. What you don't get with the Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A40 compaired to mid range tablets that cost more is a really excellent FHD display, or auto-sleep on cover closing. But I really like the Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A40 for watching TV and getting web browsing and email during commercials and half time with better battery life and performance than the other ecconomy 10 inch tablets I have owned. The construction is plastic but good, weight and thickness is on par with most of the mid range and ecconomy tables I have seen. If you pay 50% or more you can get to a FHD display, the fingerprint unlock, a lighter tablet maybe longer battery life on a charge. But in the ecconomy market place today the Acer B3-A40 looks like the best value by a substantial marigin. I recommend this tablet to my friends.

Did not meet expectations. Very slow and apps crashes constantly.

I got this after returning a competitor that just had to reboot every few hours. They both were similar in specs. This one works great. I got it for a 100 bucks just a day before the price rise. Even at the current price it works very well. I had most of my info on a micro sim (64) so I stuck it in and downloaded a few apps and have been off and running. Putting in the sim was a little messy since there is a cap, but will not take it out so not a big issue. The screen resolution seems good , but compared to a higher priced model might only be so so. I use it mostly for videos, and pdf files. The wifi works very well . I would recommend even at this price.

I was looking for a tablet to use mainly in conjunction with my Chromecast. Charter allows the most apps on Android or Apple. Since I'm an Android fan, it was an easy choice. I searched for, and tried, a few different tablets. This one is inexpensive but does the trick. It has a few neat little tricks like the EZ tools. It doesn't have great sound or a great picture on the tablet itself. However, when casting to Chromecast, it's fine and it serves the purpose.

I like the simplicity of this tablet. I went with a lesser expensive one, usually I stick with Samsung, however I felt I didn't use the more expensive tablets to their ability so I went simple. I just wanted something I could stream Netflix on. Well, Netflix keeps crashing on this device, don't know if it because of the RAM or what. I have done a factory reset and uninstalled and reinstalled the Netflix app, still it crashes. What I have done is watched a different show, then switch to the one I want to watch and it runs for about and hour and crashes again. I am ready to give up. Not sure if it is the tablet itself (running android nougat) or the Netflix app. I tried watching CBS on it as well, the same thing, it crashes, something about the video player not playing. Maybe someone has figured this out. I have not.

No game controller support. It does not read a PS3 controller. I knocked 1 star for that huge fail. Does read mouse with otg cable just no game pad support. The other other fails are noticeable flimsy build quality but for the price range its decent. Still should've been a bit more solid on the build. Lastly, debris will get inside the screen if you are not careful. It will look like a tiny dead pixel but it's not, just a speckle of sort. Overall, a good buy if you could look past the aforementioned. Has 2 micro USB ports which is nice, 2gb ram which is p!enty for an Android device. I returned this and I'm getting an Asus ZenPad 10.1 inch tablet. Good luck!

If you are fortunate to get a tablet that works, this is a good tablet for the money. Unfortunately, the first one I bought had electrical issues, wouldn't consistently boot up. It just flashed wavy, cloudy pixels. BestBuy replaced it for free. But after several months of using it without headphones, I discovered that the headphone jack doesn't work. You would think quality control would catch those things. But apparently it's up to the customers to do the quality control and keep returning the product until they get a good one.

We thought we bought the perfect tablet for movies for my infant to toddler for the vehicle while traveling. It is a GREAT tablet for such within the first year. Shortly after a year, the warranty was up and the tablets sound stopped working. Won’t hold much of a charge (however I think that’s due to the cord and the actual outlet it charges into wearing). Definitely get a protection plan.
