Great beginning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet about in October 2017. It was great in the beginning. Then it begin to charge really slow. We really love the size, speed, etc but need it to charge. We are still using the origami charger. I would recommend if the charger issue can be fixed.

Horrible Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tablet performed as well as expected initially but quickly began having issues (i.e. browser wouldn't work, application loads took several minutes for built in functionality like "Settings"). I performed several factory resets as well as a USB load of the OS. Each time performance briefly got better then quickly deteriorated. Tablet is currently inoperable, freezes, randomly reboots. I tried to troubleshoot with support which resulted in them taking 25 minutes to gather basic data, then telling me the only option for troubleshooting was to send the unit in - complete waste of time. I have owned the unit for 5 month (still well within warranty). My advice to anyone reading this would be to spend your money on a Kindle Fire - same cost, better performance, significantly better support.

SLOW, AND BUGGY!! RUN AWAY!!

It will randomly flip the screen sideways for no reason. A big part is probably the low amount of memory. Save your money and frustration. Buy ANYTHING else!

Will never buy a Acer ever again.

NOT... They never update anything,what you get is it , their customer care is only master at denial , your problem, buy a new one is thier go to answer. Always short on ram, glitchy,slow, definitely not for online gamer's. Reboots at random or just closes what your in.ect, I'm Finding Asus a much better machine worth looking into before you buy any Acer.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been waiting for this as the specs looked pretty good. I kept it for a week but couldn't convince myself it was worth it. So here are the things I was disappointed in: 1) The flap that covers the micro SD slot was so flimsy and didn't even line up. 2) The display was a little too grainy for me. Text wasn't very good. I had an HP Touchpad which was 1024x768, 9.7" as well, so it shouldn't be worse than that, but it was. 3) The back is flimsy. It squeaks and bends. 4) The speaker grill is deceptive. It's weaker than my Nexus 6 SMARTPHONE speaker. 5) The Spectrum TV app always started without audio until I raised/lowered the volume. Software bug, probably on the Acer side. 6) No adaptive brightness. 7) Tried to stream video but it always down-sampled below HD level as if the CPU couldn't decode fast enough. I skipped the built-in launcher and went straight with Nova. Double tap to wake/sleep worked well. In the end, I didn't think there was enough value. With the iPads coming down to sub-$300 level, Acer needs to step it up. There are too many things that I dislike about it to even warrant a purchase at sub-$100.

Died after a couple of weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this tablet very lightly on and off for a few weeks after purchase. It worked fine for maybe half that time, and then began to charge very slowly, wouldn't charge fully at all, and then ran the battery out and is now useless as it won't turn on even when plugged in. I've given up on it.

Slow

Terrible Tablet.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box I had issues with this tablet. I bought it specifically for my 8 year old son. The first time he was allowed to use it was on a flight to TX. While using the tablet it became VERY hot to the touch and as a result the screen cracked internally. I seriously thought it was going to explode. When I explained to Acer what happened, they had me send it in. It took forever to get it back, and when I got it back Acer said "didnt find anything wrong to cause it to get hot" they did replace the screen though. Shortly after the screen was fixed the tablet started automatically shutting off while my son would be in the middle of doing something. It would constantly reboot or go from 50% battery to dead in a matter of minutes. Now it wont even keep a charge. The screen sensitivity is not great either. I would have to tap apps 2 or 3 times before it would open them. My son has been able to acutually utilize this tablet maybe 6x. This tablet is complete garbage. Please dont waste your money on it. I seriously regret not getting him a Samsung. Buy yourself a Samsung or anything but this tablet.
