    Great Value Lap Top

Great lap top! It is easy to feel it was built to last - very durable and well crafted. Weight is good for its size. Does not overheat when running several programs, internet browsers, mapping software, etc. Nitro Sense will diagnose your computer to tell you how hard it is working and warn you if need be. Charges fast and holds a charge. The charger chord is little bulky. I wonder if it could have been made with a usbc charging port. I love all the usb ports and usbc port. It was easy to open the computer and get started right away with voice commands. I still haven't figured out how to keep the keyboard backlight on. Otherwise, it can be a little hard to see the keys with the black and red contrast. After 1 month, it is still tricky to get to the End and Home buttons. I also can't change the screen brightness from the keyboard. That can be accessed only in the settings. I also wish I could turn off the sign in features. Why do it every time? But overall, I am very pleased with the computer.

Love this computer! Replacing an 11 year old top of the line macbook pro. Everything is quick and snappy. Purchased as a regular computer.... I'm not a gamer but got it because of the enhanced spec and great price for video editing. The red led keyboard was the only thing that needed getting use too but I started to like it after about 30 min. I would buy again.

After reading the reviews of the Ryzen 5, I decided to try one for myself and I'm glad that I did. The Ryzen 5 is faster than my 9th gen i7 and the Nitro 5 has many upgrade options available. I've upgraded the ram to 32gb, added a 2TB SSHD & a WD Black NVME drive. I'm very happy with my purchase. My only con is that it's a fingerprint magnet.

works amazingly well! runs games like League of Legends very well! battery life is kinda short, but thats not a problem for me personally. might be for others if you're not always by an outlet. games drain the battery pretty fast. overall, this laptop works great for everything i need it to do!

I have had this laptop for 1+ years now. It has had great performance, and I love the red keyboard backlight. However, the design isn't very good. the left part of the screen base is loose, and the laptop feels a bit flimsy. Also battery does not last long, only about 1-2 hours depending on how you use it.

I have enjoyed this laptop. It starts up fast. I found it very easy to upgrade, doubling the ram and adding a 1 TB SSD and a 2 TB HDD. I would have given 5 stars, but the speakers are not adeqate. At full volume, with my hands cupped around the speakers, I can barely hear it. They just don't put out the sound like they should!

This is a pretty good computer, there's apps for cooling and controlling your computers performance with a simplified menu, it runs high fps games great, but obviously gets loud when put to the max, nothing really to complain about, just the occasional bugs here and there, but nothing an update patch can't fix.

I purchased two of these for my twin boys to use for homeschool and light gaming. They are using the laptops at their stock ram and non-volatile storage. They are able to play the current games at high rates with the stock setup. They seem well made, good specs, and solid graphics.

Been 3 months since I got the laptop. Love everything about it. Only play World Of Warcraft on it. Great graphics and fast speed. Also use it for work sometimes using Microsoft office applications. 15.6'' display really makes a huge difference! Highly recommended!

I bought this for my 8-year-old grandson as a relatively cheap alternative to the Predator. He doesn't need $1,400 worth of computer to play Roblox! He also started using it during a recent quarantine from school. He loved that it was so much bigger than his school tablet. I was a little trepidatious, because he was used to playing with his father's 17.3 in Predator. But he loves it! It's a smaller, more manageable laptop. It's very transportable, but with a screen that's plenty big enough. He likes the light up keyboard, and actually likes that it didn't have all the extra gaming keys that he kept making mistakes with on the larger laptop. He says he feels so grown up now that he has his very own laptop. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this in August with the primary intention of using it for school and for gaming in my spare time. This laptop went above and beyond my expectations, I would reccomend this laptop to anyone and everyone I can. You can't beat a price tag like this with as powerful this little beast is.

**,3.75 stars rounded up to 4. This is a good entry level gaming laptop. I can play everything I wanted to far except for Forza. I had to upgrade the RAM in order to play that. Tried to add a second M.2 SSD hard-drive, because it has two slots for those, and it just didn't work... I haven't figured out how to access the bios interface yet. That may resolve the issue with the SSD. Sometimes the DC power in plug is finnicky and won't quite make contact securely. Not a big deal, just unplug it and plug it back in usually fixes it. Battery life is not bad at all for a machine like this. Overall, I'm very happy I got this little machine. The last one I had that finally died was from 2012. I also expect to be using this one for many years. So, great value overall.

    Great Laptop for Video Editing

I don't do a lot of gaming from my laptop, but I do a lot of video recording, editing, and graphics design when on the go. I always look for gaming machines because their performance is perfect for what I do. After a 16 GB memory upgrade to bring it to 24 GB of ram, this laptop has handled pretty much everything I've thrown at it. The 720p camera is ok if I need to quickly do a Zoom call, but I still use my external Logitech 1080p camera for recording. The only quirks I have with it is the red backlighting on the keyboard. When the backlight times out on a dim or dark room the keys become black on black - pretty much impossible to see without tapping the shift or ctrl key to wake it up. On the other hand, in a dark room the red backlight on the keys can be BRIGHT enough to be distracting. I think white-colored or dimmer, continuously backlit keys would have been better. Since I'm being picky - the mousepads button is also quirky since it is one solid button and there is no visible division between the "left-click" and "right-click" sides. Again, I've worked around this by using an external mouse. Other than that, I have enjoyed using this machine. The design is beautiful, it's light, and the battery life is decent.

Was looking for a replacement gaming laptop that wouldn't break the bank. Ultimately decided on AMD over Intel after researching benchmarks and real world performance. Felt that the price difference is worth it. You have more control over power consumption and battery life. Due note that there is a screen defect on start up and it is common to this laptop for some odd reason. Once the laptop starts up it disappears. Chalk it up to Acer inspection? Other then that the backlit keyboard is very nice and you can control th brightness as well. The nitro sense is really useful for managing heat. Compared to my old laptop this is definitely and upgrade in every aspect and for a decent price of $600. Worth every penny. Some things to consider: 256 M2 SSD (Not an issue for me & easily upgradable) 8GB Ram is 1 slot, open slot for another 8GB Ram
