The Laptop has good graphics and fast game play and has long battery life.

This is a good little gaming laptop, especially if you travel and dont want to haul your big rig around with you. It runs all the popular games easily. The only issue it (like most high performance laptops) has is overheating. This baby gets HOT. I bought some little laptop feet to lift it up a little more and that worked really well. Definitely recommend it!

Ok so the design and textures are amazing and compact well. Though when I use the computer go into Windows I immediately notice I had to uninstall lots of unwanted software that was just taking up storage. Also in the end I had to reinstall Windows because it just kept getting slow and I got blue screen. So after that I haven't had any issues. Great gaming laptop for starter.

I have owned this machine for a few years now and still love it. I am a gamer, and sales man. I can use this in presentations as it isn't too flashy, and still game on it. Good size, battery lasts a long time. I can game fore hours before needing to plug in, and normal usage it lasts for days. Screen is crisp, not too heavy, and plays everything I want it to, even can FPS at decent quality. I love the illuminated keyboard, as I often game at night and don't need a light on to wake my wife.

Overall initially I really liked the laptop. I had only downloaded a couple things that didn’t take up much space at all, then it froze on me the third day of owning it. Froze to the point where the screen would be all black but the keyboard lights would be on. To reset I had to push in the reset pin whole on the bottom side of the laptop. I was hoping this was a one time thing but it happened about 5 times in the first couple weeks. I went back to Best Buy to exchange the computer for a different brand, but it had been 22 days since the date of purchase. The return policy is 15 days, so I’m stuck with a computer that I don’t want. I’m not sure if mine is one of few that freezes like this or if it is a common thing. From my experience I would not recommend this computer to anyone.

I got this for my teenage son for Christmas, he is a gamer and we sis not have any computer that would keep up with his games. He is very happy with this and it works well. It also has the capability for him to do his homework on. He is not as equally thrilled about that aspect :) but I am. We did have to buy a mouse for him to use for gaming, so if you are getting it for a gift you might want to keep that in mind

Very nice features and design, pretty fast but slow start up

The Acer Nitro 5 is a good budget gaming laptop that will satisfy casual gamers and those targeting a smaller budget. Good for everyday tasks such as web browsing, document editing, photo editing, and video playback. Build quality is good for an all-plastic laptop. I personally did not satisfy the weight and the thickness of the laptop.

So far my son enjoy has computer he’s a gamer and this computer fits his needed. He said it fast and loves the graphic.

Works so fast. I'm not use to this as my last laptop was 5 years old and was so slow. I had a cable tech in my home for a cable problem shortly after my purchase and he saw the laptop & asked where I got it and what I paid for it. He was so interested I showed him the box and he took a picture of all the specs.on the side and said he was going to call the store to see if they had anymore. I felt so happy that someone that was so tech smart thought I got such a great laptop.

The laptop is 4/5 stars because the 1st week of when it arrived, the whole battery died out & I don’t mean it died out like it needs to be charge. It completely died out that the laptop didn’t want to turn on, but I solved the issue. However I hope that never happens again, but so far the laptop is working good.

Casual games and late games will run well with this. It's great for editing work. It does have an issue with newer games and it's cooling solution. I have not tried replacing the thermal paste to see if that fixes the overheating issue I encountered however.

I had to take apart the whole laptop all the screws and make sure to take out the hard drive connector before I ripped it apart and then I put the optane in it with the screw was really hard to get out but I got it all assembled and then made sure I put the Intel driver in first and updated it and now it’s optane enhanced! Had to enable the optane through he intel app and it gave a scary notice about wiping out he drive but it was referring to the optane chip.

For the price I got it for and the parts inside its overall not a bad PC. I got it for a family member as a starter PC with descent power and a decent graphics card incase they ever want to do gaming. Acer has cheap computers and the build does feel slightly cheap but for what I paid and what I got I can't complain.

I had been back and forth about buying a new laptop- at the time I had one that was almost as heavy as a college book and maybe half as thick. As soon as I saw how slender and light it was I was just about sold. In my opinion this is an awesome gaming laptop; I wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t. I have no issues when playing MMOs and o strongly believe this is high high quality- you’re not just buying a brand name (like other popular gaming names) you’re getting awesome game time

Has been perfect for my needs, quick, and powerful enough to do whatever I need it to do. Been totally worth it.

Does a fantastic job managing tasks and runs games very good considering it's a 700 dollar machine. Very satisfied.

To be honest I haven't really put it through its paces yet, but it's great to not have to wait five minutes for it to boot, like the five-year-old Dell it replaced. I don't really do games but I figured a gaming machine should be able to take whatever (3D, video, etc.) I throw at it. My last one couldn't.

Fast, solid computer. Bought for one of our kids who plays games frequently. No issues other than cracking the screen on accident but that was an easy (albeit pricey) fix. Kid also uses it for at home learning now and has had no issues. It is a little heavy compared to regular laptops but I would still recommend if looking for a solid gaming computer. Especially if you catch it on sale.
