If you are getting this laptop around 600$ than definitely it is very good laptop. Laptop runs all latest games on medium-high settings but laptop has heating issue. It heats up quite a lot just above keyboard.

    There's a reason it's cheap

I bought the dell equivalent of this laptop, and really liked it, but I saw this one was cheaper, so I returned the dell and bought this one. Instantly could tell the quality was much lower, the speakers were garbage, and the plastic was thinner, and had a terrible glossy finish. However, the specs were there and it performed well on the games I set before it, it's not my main gaming computer, it's just for when I travel, so it was more than passable for that. I was willing to put up with the lower quality for the cheaper price at first, but it was when I went to Houston for a IT Security Summit, that I realized it had to go. While I was there, I used it to remote into my work computer, and that all worked fine, but weirdly it randomly shut off on me, not all the way, but went to sleep, so I ignored it and kept working. Then it did it oh, 8-9 more times over the next hour, for seemingly no reason. So on our next break I google it and sure enough, it's a known issue with this laptop for it to shut off during use while on battery power, it's been known for several months with multiple users reporting the issue and Acer has yet to do anything about it. So I plugged in my laptop and finished the rest of the summit plugged in. Soon as I got back to town that friday, I went right up to my best buy and returned it and paid the extra 100 for the Dell, and instantly remembered how much I loved that laptop, the sound is way better, and the fit and finish is like a BMW 3 series compared to a Toyota corolla. BYE ACER, I knew I shouldn't have bought it based on the name alone, but it's been years since I've touched one of their products, and wanted to give them a chance to save me 100 dollars, and they couldn't provide...

I was looking for a gaming laptop that would not break the bank, something I could reasonably travel with. This one fit the bill nicely. It has as much firepower as my older i7 desktop gaming rig. At least it runs all my regular games just as well, on high settings. WOW and Neverwinter online are my two faves. This lappy runs them well.

Good enough gaming laptop for the price, runs games at high settings, consistent frames, a little loud and runs hot if on your lap, better on a desk

Got this on sale at $599 which I think is a good value for the specs. Although it is billed as a gaming laptop, I primarily got this for traditional use, with some light gaming and photo editing applications. It has worked flawlessly so far and barely gets warm. This is my first laptop with a SSD and it is a revelation compared to the boot times of a traditional hard drive. 1080p IPS screen is excellent. I still needed a DVD drive, so I picked up an LG for $20; problem solved. Recommended.

I did not buy this as a gaming laptop, although it will play most games if I get the urge. The price point sold me and I have not been disappointed. Memory and storage are expandable as my needs change. So far I am very pleased with my choice.

My son had purchased a different laptop, which wasn’t compatible with online gaming. This was recommended by one of the associates at the store. It has been great for everything from school work to games. Great product!

We’ve had this for almost a year and only had issues with the sound driver, which was an easy fix. It does really well with normal use and I think students that need multiple processes open would love this machine. It reboots fast and has handled our video viewing, games, document storage, and programs like Blender.

Computer runs everything very smoothly, not a single problem, very well built and sturdy. Only complaint is that built-in sound is below average, but can easily be resolved by headphones.

First off I wasn’t big on the brand because I’ve had issues in the past with Acer. However, they really have stepped their game up. I am very pleased with this laptop. It does everything I need and then some. It’s runs fortnite fine, haven’t tried PUBG yet. Battery life isn’t great but I don’t usually stay unplugged for long periods. Very light which I love! Great for traveling I barely notice it’s there. The only bad thing I’ve found is the audio is scratchy coming from the built in speakers. Still trying to find a fix for this. External speakers or headphones are good however. Other than that I love this laptop.

My son loves this laptop when he plays games on Steam or Forenite. There's no lag like the other regular laptop. I got it on special deal, so it's a bargain.
