I bought this laptop to drive high power Astrophotography programs. I drive out in the desert and setup my Astronomy equipment. The laptop controls auto guiders, and critical telescope functions. My son uses it for his daily online school. My wife watchers her online soaps. This is a good looking laptop that is easy to use. The video during online school is clear and watching movies is also very clean. My only issue is that recently the laptop suddenly died. It would not turn on, just a blue led and that was it. Since it was out of warranty I took it apart hoping to see what might have gone wrong. It all looked good. Several other people checked it out and there was no indication of anything wrong. After the third inspection using reading glasses I found a small amount of matter on the motherboard covering 4 micro capacitors. Probably food. I cleaned it with alcohol and now it works as before. The reason I mention this is that I think this happens a lot and people blame the computer. All in all I think this is great laptop. After a year and a half it still works great.

Amazing laptop still use it to this day! And the graphics are amazing and Its just a affordable price to use for games and school works.

For 3 years this thing has been super amazing. Technically it's not rated to support VR but had no trouble doing so with an HTC vive setup.

Worked as expected good graphics and decent battery life

When I got this it was my first gaming laptop and I loved it. It is a good entry level gaming laptop to get you ready for what to expect and where you want to go next. When I upgraded I gave it to my niece and she loves it too. My option had 1 TB HDD and the 256 SSD I believe and all together it was a perfect starting point. I also upgraded the RAM to 16gb but besides that I kept everything else stock and it perform perfect for what it is

The Laptop has been very good still using it with Windows 11 now

To be honest im 13 and i dont know how to contact acer myself so this is my best way of doing it acer all i gotta say is could you convince best buy to keep their price for this laptop that would be cool. Im about to look real stupid after this well all i gotta say now is... I really like your product its amazing

This computer is insane for the price it can run all most 200 FPS on all low settings on fortnite

Very affordable and good laptop for gaming. I play world of warcraft, and it just works perfect.

Laptop itself is good. Handles gaming and steaming well. The downside to this laptop is it's battery! We have now had to return two of these within 1 year due to the battery all of a sudden stopping its ability to charge. Extremely frustrating. I would recommend if you can buy a different laptop, do so.

don't buy this it really doesn't matter what model it is in Acer Nitro 5 and what graphics card it is. The keyboard is horrible if you at least break 2 or 1 key u get fps drops even tho with 16 Gb ram and even if u optimize some settings. And the lights on the keyboard overheats the pc the built-in fan doesn't do anything. The fact that it only has one fan all you really paying for is latency and if you adding the next accessorize as a keyboard u get performance problems. The c drive and ram are old and the storage you're better off building your own pc. And the display is attached so you not even using your GPU since it's attached to the central processing unit.

Hard to beat this laptop at the price. Specs are great for sub-$700 Only complaint thus far is that the finish on the laptop is a fingerprint magnet.

Can run games moderately well. I bought this on a black friday sale in 2018. It has blue screened at least once a week since then. Some sort of hardware issue makes the machine crash very often. Not worth the hassle.

Let's start with the main detractor: They keyboard sensitivity on this laptop is very poor. You have to practically slam the keys, or you're risking typos in every sentence because of missed letters. This is not a fun laptop to write on. I'd say for a general use laptop with light gaming or use of Adobe's less heavy programs this laptop works very well. If you want to do legitemate gaming or are planning on performing video editing (i.e. Premiere or god forbid After Effects) I'd either have the ram upgraded or simply go with a higher tier computer. Seriously, using this computer for after affects will make it sound like it's dying. don't use this for creative projects or I'm guessing it'll cut the lifespan in half.

The laptop is nice and it runs the games i play fine but the ssd on it is extremely small so your gonna want to upgrade it.

Will this laptop work with an elgato hd60 capture card?

Watch out for this Computer. Acer is making this with a really bad problem. I am good with my computers as they are a lifeline for my school and also yeah gaming. I even got a $100 backpack designed to carry it in. But anyway the D drive has separated 3 times on me and Acer will not fix it again. Every time I set it in it came back worse. This is only 1yr and 3 months old. I will NEVER buy another one and currently shopping for a replacement.

I bought this laptop because the specs compared to the other laptops around that price range where significantly better! After about 24 hours of use speaker drivers went out and when I installed and uninstalled them, they only worked when I didn’t have any audio drivers Installed, Day 2, the computer refuses to turn on and after going to acer support, I felt like I was being treated like an idiot essentially saying have you tried to turn the device and back on again?! After waiting for a week to get my hands on this I was severely disappointed, I instead sadly parted ways with this laptop as I didn’t want to take a risk with it.
