Let's start by saying this thing boots up way fast (7 seconds) than my old acer. I am not a.gamer, and I don't intend on using it for gaming. I am a heating and air tech and I need something fast and reliable. And I found it. Some don't like the matte screen but I like it due to no glare in the sun.

Second Acer Nitro 5 I've bought. The first had the AMD processor. This one has the Intel processor. Honestly, i can't tell any difference in performance. This is an excellent budget gaming laptop. My sons each love theirs. Not sure how it performs with graphically intensive games. But it runs the games they play very well.

Surprised my son with this computer as a gift. It is a reasonably quick and well put together computer and has the cool factor that he wants. He's using it as a workstation, not for gaming but the things that make it good for gaming also help with 3d modeling and video editing workflow.

purchased it in 2021 and have had it to Best Buy they sent it in for repair the first time and now they are saying it was the battery and the lap top was junk and the warrant was up. this is sad it wasn't even two years old and was $700.00 what a waste

We replaced a 2014 laptop because my son was frustrated by the lag when playing online games. After a lot of researching for an inexpensive gaming laptop, we bought this one. We have had it for 4 weeks and my son still rattles off the frames per second stats to me. My 3 boys love being able to play Roblox games in high graphics with very minimal lag (they get an average of 120 with the FPS unlocked to get around Roblox 60 FPS cap). They no longer have to deal with games crashing, This laptop has not once kicked them out! With 3 kids the laptop is used for many hours everyday and we leave the laptop on all day but it has never felt hot. I was concerned about cooling issues but this has dual fans and the vents are across the entire back of the laptop. My old one vented only one one side and my kids would inevitably block the cooling process by having the laptop on a sofa or bed or placing items up against the vent. A significant factor in deciding on this laptop was the regular sized, standard arrow keys. Many laptops now have "mini" up and down arrow keys and hen they are needed for gaming they are too close togetger and too small to use. We are 100% satisfied as this computer has met our expectations for the kids' gaming and for my personal use.

Solid laptop. Will run most games and office or school related software pretty well and is good at performing mutliple tasks at once, havent had any problems with it at all. My only complaint might be i think it needs more ram, but the ram can be expanded easily. Definintely worth the buy, its everything i was hoping for.

My 13th year old enjoys this laptop since day one. Compared to his previous Apple laptop, he said this one is much better overall, faster and better for games. He is very satisfied. He can now use this computer for everything, including online learning. Great value for our money!

So far so good, bought this for my daughter as a starter. She loves it but does need more memory. If you want a affordable starter with upgradeable parts it's hard to beat. I been gaming for 15 years and bought Acers and had no problems. They are not top shelf but they can be upgraded and for the price you can buy 3 for the price of one.

If you're looking for an entry level gaming laptop, well you found it. I did end up adding another 16gb of RAM and more storage but its great that they even offer the ability to open it up and upgrade these items. This is my teenage sons entertainment and gaming device for our long car rides out of the Phoenix heat and into the mountains on weekends.

I did my Homework before buying this gaming computer. Definitely worth it! My son loves it and no complaining it’s moving to slow! I would certainly recommend this for any gamer or parent of a gamer. I talk reasonably priced, given the cost of other gaming computers. It’s nice it has built in fan to keep the computer cool!
