Would not recommend this laptop. Lasted less than 3 months before it died and would not boot up. It was still under warranty, so Best Buy could not look at it without voiding the warranty. Found a local authorized repair center, but when we took it there they said Acer is difficult to work with, they send the wrong parts, and laptops end up taking months to get fixed. Told us we were better off dealing directly with Acer which meant that we had to pack up and pay for shipping to TX (we live in MD) so we'll be without the laptop for at least a couple weeks. Not happy -- not a cheap laptop to last only 10 weeks.

I love this laptop, I can run videos on it smoothly

I purchased the ACER Predator Helios 300 (15.6" QHD, 240Hz, Intel Core i7, 16GB DDR5, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, 1TB SSD) on April 13, 2023. Less than two years later, on November 5, 2024, the laptop completely stopped working. It wouldn't power on at all. I contacted ACER customer support, but their troubleshooting didn’t resolve the issue. I then took the laptop to a specialist, who confirmed that the problem was a short circuit on the motherboard, making the laptop unusable. It’s incredibly disappointing that a premium gaming laptop like this didn’t even last two years, despite careful use. Now I’m left without a computer to use for my university studies or gaming during my free time. For the price and reputation, I expected much better durability and reliability. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Not entirely sure but I think the CPU burned up after 20 days of very limited use. I would only game on this for about an hour at a time. I did everything I could to keep the temps down including elevating the laptop to make sure the back vents where uncovered and tried using a cooling mat. Thankfully the great customer service from best buy helped me out so I didn't end up with a 1400-dollar paperweight. Other than that, the specs where fantastic and it ran great before it stopped.

So far am impressed with the computer. No complaints

I bought this not for gaming but for my accounting business for when I am on the go. I run multiple accounting software at one time and this machine runs all the programs seamlessly. Just wish it could have been a bit lighter.
