A: Yes, this was released in 2022. It is the 12th generation Intel Chip.
Q: to updgrade the RAM i should get 2 16gb 4800mhz?
A: I personally have not upgraded my ACER Helios 300 RAM as of now since it has not been slow on most application I use, but I would say yes you should get 2 - 16gb 4800 mhz ddr5 or 1- 32gb 4800 mhz ddr5 to upgrade the RAM in the computer.
Q: Is it possible to add a hdd as well like the PH315-52 model?
A: No.. doesn't look like it. It has a bigger battery instead. It does have two SSD nvme m.2 slots internal, so you can add a second drive there at least. Heat could potentially be an issue.
Q: is the rgb for the keyboard something that can be turned off? and or customized?
A: Yes, all in the control center. I am not a fan of my keyboard looking like a disco while im using it so...I tone it way down
