Great laptop for school.

Its able to run her cad software without issue and is customizable where she can turn off the gpu when needed to improve battery life for the rest of the day. Its proving to be a customizable workhorse.

Decent, but you could do better.

Keyboard layout can be frustrating, specifically the shift key on the right side. Decent gaming laptop, struggled with video editing. High RAM consumption from background process and Windows 11 even while no applications are open. Battery life is horrendous. Decent laptop, but there are much better options available with only a very slight increase in cost.

A lot of reviews complained about the fan noise, but I barely notice when the fan kicks on. I probably don't play any games robust enough to generate copious amounts of heat. The image looks amazing and while the internal speakers are a bit tinny, I use external speakers. Overall I think it's a great computer.

Seems to be a good alternative to more premium names (i.e. alienware). Opted to buy 64 gigs of DDR5 and a second NVME SSD (given 2026 is likely to see prices for these components go up quite a bit).
