The laptop froze a few times while running games, nvidia optimus setting causes glitches, and nvidia graphics optimizing also causes glitches in all the games. Specs are amazing for the price but unfortunately it is not a keeper

Couldn't run basic adobe programs from the first week. Ran very hot. Traded in 2nd week for a competing brand.

This is an amazing rig except they ruined it with that glossy screen that is like a mirror.

Was defective out of the box. Kept going into an unending reboot loop. I live over 6 hours from the nearest Best Buy so I had to ship it back to have it returned. Still waiting on a refund. I plan to get another one once my refund is issued. I'll update this review if it ends up being a fluke.

Terrible product, Used for a week and then gave me a black screen.

has an issue with crash out of nowhere. talked to accer support and also could able to fix the issue.

Less than a month old and already having to take it back overheating

The laptop has a hard time processing even the smallest stuff in adobe after effects.

In this overpriced market this unit really shines. Awesome specs for such a price, at least compared to the other options. Build quality is totally decent all around and the bottom is aluminum as is the back of the display. The display itself is gorgeous, really nice colors, it's a pleasant viewing experience. Plenty bright. It stays cool, and the fans dont get particularly loud unless you're really pushing the limits. The Core Ultra 9 is incredibly snappy and quick with whatever I throw at it, and the 5070ti has plenty of processing power and memory to work with the 2.5k display.

Very happy that I went with this laptop. The screen is amazing and the thermals seem to be pretty good. I pushed the system pretty hard and the GPU stayed in the low 80s and the CPU in the low 90s. Also, the advertised screen refresh rate here on Best Buy (165hz) is not correct. The screen is actually 240hz, which was a pleseant surprise. I was a bit worried buying this as it is a slim variant (less GPU wattage) and there arent many major reviews out. Ran some benchmarks and it only came 7-8% less than the average 5070ti laptop. The only downside to this laptop is that the speakers seem to be pretty low quality, but thats not a big deal to me.

So...I just bought one of these. I will be returning it very soon. This was easily the worst laptop I have ever purchased and I am now going to search for a new battery for my old Dell G7 7790 (2019) because even that was better. The battery life is about the same. -GPU is limited to 115W. So even though a laptop 5070TI performs substantially worse than a desktop 5070TI at full power, this will perform even worse than that. I would guess it's about as strong as a desktop 3070. -The BIOS is incredibly locked down, so there's hardly any changes you can make. To change the boot order, you have to have the device inserted; you can't just make it look for USB first and boot from there, like anything on a desktop. You can't disable intel's VMD and run AHCI mode instead, so if you want to install a much better build of Windows (either 11 LTSC or 10), you have to load the drivers during install. Did I mention that the touchpad doesn't work during install? Yeah, but of course the laptop needs special drivers to run the touchpad. -The build of Windows 11 that's on it requires one of Microsoft's online accounts. Not to mention when you do get through that BS and forget your pin, you can't just login with your password. Acer of course makes sure to bundle all their software in it that does almost nothing except mine your data and sell it to third parties. -The geniuses at Acer decided to use Torx screws to secure the bottom cover. Why did they do this? Because most people don't have torx bits small enough to remove these screws. How do I know this? Everything under the bottom cover is phillips. I do have torx bits that small and after removing the screws, you need a plastic pry tool in order to actually get the cover free. That means if you want to add an NVME drive (which there's a slot for it, but it is hidden and doesn't have a heatsink), you have to play Acer's game in actually getting to it. -The only way to get anywhere near a battery life of "6 hours" is to have energy saver on constantly. -It will only charge on USB C while turned on if the charger is a minimum of 100W. Anything less than that will only charge while the laptop is off or in standby. Laptops have not progressed much in six years. There's absolutely zero reason to spend this much on an Acer laptop. I'm not spending $600 more on a Lenovo that has some bare basic features built in but the exact same specs. I guess the screen is pretty. Only positive of this experience.

I almost slept on this because of the Acer brand (always saw Acer as a lower end brand). However, the screen on this laptop really is beautiful. I had a 14” Zephyrus, and that thing got hot. This is able to get way more fps and does an amazing job handling the heat. 2 cons really: 1) i noticed the system can get bogged down and unresponsive sometimes. Not sure if this is Windows related or hardeare related. 2) im not an audiohile, but the soeakers are ok. I had to turn off Spatial sound so that i could actually hear the games. Overall, really great value! (Also came with a neoprene laptop sleeve, nice surprise!)

Picked up this gem at Best Buy today. I initially went in to purchase a different gaming laptop at almost a similar price point. Upon looking at their inventory through the app when I was there, i noticed this laptop was available but not out for display. I asked the customer service rep about it and they werent even aware that they had it in stock themselves. So he was shocked. Looked it over and youre getting some amazing value here. OLED screen, which by the way, looks gorgeous. 16" screen, 240hz display, 32 freaking gigs of ram and 1TB SSD. This was a winner. Opened it up at home, installer some games to test drive and all work flawlessly. The games were Warzone, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, League of Legends, and WoW, all which were on MAX settings. It did get a bit hot at first but after running all the windows updates, it cooled off. It has all the ports you will need including an ethernet port for all you hardwired freaks like me. 3 USB connections, HDMI, and well pretty much everything youll need to rock and roll. Only time will tell of how long the quality of this product will last since Im not familiar with Acer as much (I have a Lenovo Legion desktop) but it seems like a well built product and definitely feels premium. I have the total gech protection for 2 years so im not too worried. Overall, a fine purchase!

Loving this laptop, just bought it yesterday and already a greater upgrade then my previous one. It is loud at times but its a good trade off to run games at high quality

Wow — the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI is incredible! At least, I assume it is. It’s been months since I ordered it, and while it hasn’t actually arrived, just thinking about those specs gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I mean, who wouldn’t be excited about a 16” OLED 165Hz screen, Intel Core Ultra 9, RTX 5070Ti, 32GB of RAM, and a full terabyte of storage? It’s basically a spaceship disguised as a laptop. Too bad it’s still on its intergalactic journey to my doorstep. But hey, patience builds character, right? At this rate, by the time it shows up, there might be a Predator Helios Neo 17 with AI that makes coffee — but I’ll cherish this mythical beast all the same. Highly recommend… if you’re into long-term relationships with tracking numbers.

Absolutely amazing, fan noise isn't as loud as people are complaining about. laptop runs cool and all the big name titles at high fps, this thing is a BEAST for the price.

Too early to have some more insights, but for no no issues were encountered. Let's see in a year or so!
