I bought the Acer Predator Helios with Intel Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 Ti. Gaming performance is excellent, the screen is bright with good colors, and cooling handles long sessions well. However, I noticed that the CPU sometimes spikes up to 105°C for a few seconds when a workload starts, then it quickly drops back to normal and stays stable. On my previous ASUS laptop with Ryzen, I never had those temperature jumps. Out of the box, the system also comes with a lot of preinstalled software, which slows down startup. After cleaning the bloatware and adjusting the startup apps, the laptop now runs fast and smooth — but the first impression wasn’t perfect. Pros: Strong CPU and GPU performance Good display quality Decent cooling once it ramps up Solid build and design Cons: Short CPU temperature spikes up to 105°C Too much preinstalled software Needs optimization out of the box Bottom line: If you don’t mind doing a bit of cleanup and tweaking, this is a very capable gaming laptop with excellent performance

This pc is a beast. As it can be seen from its specs, it has a really high performance. However, it can be out of charge quickly when compared to other alternatives such as a macbook. Other than that I couldn@t have asked for a better computer.

I was a prospect buyer for this machine but decided to not purchase for one main reason: The screen is locked to 240hz. You cannot change it to 120hz or 60hz. It is locked. This is horrible for battery life and looking at multiple reviews, it seems like this laptop gets a max of two and a half hours unplugged. This is extremely disappointing given the price and specs are the best out there for any other laptop :(

Got it while it was onsale for the holidays and wow what a performer! And that OLED screen is unreal!

Performance wise this thing is a beast. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a lottery. I was having significant overheating issues. There were times my CPU hits 70C-80C watching YouTube videos which is not normal. Fortunately for me I am able to open a laptop pretty comfortably and diagnose. The liquid metal from the factory was pretty much non-existent. I had to add a couple drops and re-applicate. If you know what you're doing, this laptop is definitely for you. But if you're expecting to just plug it in without any issues, you may want to reconsider.

Excellent laptop love the build a shame that acer limits the total wattage to 300W which underpowers the the major components, this is done mainly to keep temperatures low but similar laptops show bettter performance for the same components. The 240 hz OLED screen is an amazing feature and makes games look incredible.

Owned this laptop for a while now and it's been excellent. Screen is incredibly bright and clear, and the keyboard is comfortable and nice to type on with customizable colors and good brightness, although you end up seeing more light under the keys than shining through the letters, so not exactly macbook quality. Performance wise, the best for the money. The 5070ti kills all gaming needs, 32GB RAM is solid and takes care of all your needs. The venting is excellent, the laptop never gets too hot and the fans only spin up for gaming, average day to day tasks it does well at staying cool and not being loud or intrusive. I would absolutely recommend it if you just want the best value for money in terms of gaming performance.

The laptop works very good setup didn't take long at all, i very much recommend it, the copiloet button the most i would complain about, the laptop has a very small battery and will doe fast without a charger, the laptop heats up to a moderate temperature but its nothing to worry about solid laptop

This gaming system is an awesome deal for the money. It has met and even exceeded my expectations for a gaming laptop. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a gaming laptop that can play the next generation gaming titles on consoles and PC.

Not a great laptop and I'll explain why. What is good: - System specs and pricepoint - 240HZ OLED screen is absolutely stunning - I liked the laptop design and shell. The bad - Internal software. Specifically drivers and the Intel processor I had this laptop for 2 weeks. Certain games (Elden Ring) and programs (adobe premier pro) were completely unusable. I tried everything, including a hard drive wipe and reinstallation of windows before I returned this laptop thinking it was a defectove unit. I tried the same model and had the exact same issues. After some deep reddit searching and trying acer support, I learned that acer is notorious for not updating drivers. Many people have the same issue I had, and all Acer will tell you is that the fault lies with adobe and the software I'm trying to use isn't compatible with the core ultra series processor. That simply isnt true. The fault lies with acer, they have not updated their bios (as of 12/05/25). I received a notification from intel software (using their intel monitoring software for the processor) stating my bios was not up to date for the processor and to contact the hardware manufacturer about updating the bios. I returned this laptop for the Asus G14 and have zero regrets. The pricepoint is great, the specs and screen are awesome. But know some programs and games may not work and there is nothing you can do as you wont receive any support. Before you buy, check Acers support page for this laptop to ensure the bios was updated after 12/05/25 and ensure the core ultra chipset specifically has an update.

It’s a great computer. The only things I would comment negatively on is the built in speakers, they don’t have the greatest quality that I feel a computer for this price should have. The fans can be a bit loud, but that’s typical for gaming computers. The screen is beautiful!

Absolute bang for buck, only issue is that you cannot lower down the refresh rate on this computer and the battery life sucks so e reviews say it can only last you for 3 hrs max but for me it only last 2 at the very best conditions still really good though

love it without doubt! oled is beautiful and the 5070ti makes running top titles at ultra setting easy. 10/10 hands down without a doubt!

It does EVERYTHING I need and more every day. I can play like a pro with this laptop that goes everywhere with me.
