I’ve had a great experience with the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S. The 16” OLED 240Hz display looks amazing, colors are sharp and vibrant, and gaming feels very smooth. Performance from the Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 Ti is strong and handles demanding games and multitasking without issue. It comes with 1TB of storage, and one of the big advantages is that it’s upgradeable, so you can easily add more storage or make changes later if needed. Battery life is decent for a high performance gaming laptop. It’s not designed for long unplugged sessions, but when plugged in, performance is excellent and it really shines. Under heavy load it can run warm and the fans do get loud, which is expected for this level of hardware. Overall, it’s a slim, powerful, well built laptop that delivers strong performance in a relatively sleek design.

Let me be clear: THIS THING SLAPS. Tl;dr: if you plan to keep it plugged to a wall and don’t mind bad speakers, don’t look any further. There’s no better deal for an OLED panel, high refresh rate, i9, 5070Ti 12GBVRam and upgradable ram and storage. If you want a more detailed review see below. Let’s get the cons out of the way: -Speakers are bad, but a good headset/headphones can easily fix this. -Battery is awful right now, for some reason you can’t switch the refresh rate to anything that’s not 240Hz, which causes your battery to drain supeeer fast: 1 hour AAA gaming - 3 hours light use. BUT, this is probably something Acer will fix down the line with an update (or at least I hope so). Although, if you’re like me and only use it while plugged to the wall, then it’s really not an issue. -Fans can get pretty loud on TURBO mode lol, but quiet and balance are really nice. -This might be exclusive to my unit: there’s a noticeable hiss/high pitched noise that appears for a couple minutes before the fans start picking up during a heavy usage session. THE VALUE IS TOO GOOD MY GUYS. Pro tip: If you want to further improve air flow, put a book underneath the back part of the laptop to allow for more air intake. I travel a lot for work, and for some reason hotels in the US always have a certain book in their rooms lol, so I use those.

Performance is excellent for the price I paid during the sale. The OLED 240Hz display is outstanding. It is sharp, vibrant, and extremely smooth. Once properly configured, the system is very fast for both gaming and heavy workloads. Battery life is terrible. This is not a laptop you should expect to use unplugged for any meaningful amount of time. It is best used docked and connected to power at all times, which is how I use it as a desktop replacement. In that role, it performs very well. Some overclocking and manual tuning were required to fully unlock its potential. This makes it better suited for users comfortable adjusting settings. If you are looking for portability, this is not the right choice. As a high performance desktop style machine at a discounted price, it is a great value.

The performance on this system is impressive, given its price point. Every competitor is priced an additional $400-$600 more, given similar specs and display. The performance on many of the new releases has been excellent. I've been running Borderlands 4, getting 70-80fps on high using the 2k resolution with the monitor. Battlefield 6 has impressive performance, which I haven't benchmarked yet. Almost every other game released in the last 2 years seems to run at ultra settings, with ray tracing and shadows set to high, yet still maintaining very high frame rates. I recommend this PC. The one thing I would be mindful of is the heat, which will hamper performance if you can't find something like a book to prop it up or use one of those fan devices to help. As long as there is good airflow, this will run like a dream. It doesn't have a super-long battery life either. If you're out and about without wall power, I get 3-4 hours just doing everyday tasks like running Excel, PowerPoint, ArcGIS Pro, and a few other programs. Anything demanding will kick your battery down to an hour. It's still the best PC I've owned.

This is my first time buying a gaming laptop and so far I am absolutely in love. The screen quality is great, gaming feels smooth and overall it's an excellent choice for portability and performance. Battery seems to be a problem for some users, although I am usually always plugged and limiting charge up to 80% to save battery life. Also it gets hot underneath, so if you tend to put your laptop on your legs, you'll feel it, although it's not unbearable hot... unless you're naked lol.

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI (with Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 Ti) is a solid upgrade that feels futuristic right away. The OLED screen is a game-changer—like leaping from 720p to proper high-def—with stunning colors, deep blacks, and buttery-smooth 240Hz refresh that makes gaming feel 10x more immersive and vibrant. Overall speed is excellent, nearly doubling the performance of my old Acer Nitro in games and everyday tasks thanks to the powerful Ultra 9 CPU and 5070 Ti GPU combo. Thermals stay manageable if you crank up the fans and ensure good airflow, though the fans get noticeably loud under load (headphones fix that easily). Speakers are a downgrade—tinny and weak compared to the Nitro's—so plan on using a headset or external audio. Battery life tanks once you disable integrated graphics for full discrete GPU power, so it's strictly a plugged-in machine for serious use. One downside: Acer's made it tougher to DIY upgrades—the slim, thin design and tricky bottom cover make adding another SSD a real hassle compared to older models. Great pick for plugged-in gaming if you crave that killer OLED and raw power without breaking the bank.

Great Gaming Laptop - This thing flies, the CPU is a beast the GPU is amazing (throttled back - but a beast for this thin setup) - Throw a 2TB in there and it's great. 32GB is plenty of ram gaming, 12g on the vram is excellent. It gets hot, but it should... get a pad for this guy. Screen is gorgeous at 1600 240hz oled. Running Borderlands 4 no issues. (increase your shader cache!)

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop that leans more toward display quality + gaming performance (and you can live with trade-offs in noise, heat, and battery), the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI is a strong contender. Really good device for the cost. Pretty powerful, runs everything I’ve tried smoothly, gets hot fast so the fan does get loud quickly. Battery life isn’t amazing but that’s to be expected

Bought this and undervolted it immediately. I use it for when I travel, and the portability-to-performance ratio is insane. Extremely powerful system. I have a 5090 desktop and enjoy playing games on this as well. Battery life is poor but I was not planning to use this unplugged as I have another laptop for that purpose. Temps were okay-ish before undervolt but after they have been perfect.

Probably the best bang for your buck considering the current state of the prices across all computer hardware. Yeah the battery life isn’t great since it’s stuck at 240 hz sometimes. But if you’re buying a gaming laptop then you should know by now that it needs to be constantly plugged in regardless. For non gaming operations the battery life is still fine but iv never cared about battery life, just the convenience of reduced space it takes up and ease of setup. It’s a gaming laptop and it games beyond well and everything is perfect for gaming and that’s all that matters. If I wanted better battery life I would spend more money than necessary on a more expensive laptop and miss out on this crazy price point just so I can take advantage of the battery life on non gaming operations which defeats the purpose. And it’s 240 hz…. And OLED. Gotta be out of your mind to care about the one con of the battery life. Mostly when DDR5 ram that it has as well is selling for 1/3rd of this laptops MSRP. Just ridiculous steal.

This is a great laptop for gaming, video editing and schoolwork/homework. It can handle hours of gaming, running multiple virtual machines or for doing homework for hours. The screen is OLED and its crystal clear, its light weight conpared to my older Helios 300 (2019) and the RTX 5070ti and ultra 9 cpu make it run smooth and fast. For the price it really is the best gaming laptop for your dollar, its worth every penny.

I'm a game developer and this laptop is incredible. The Intel Core Ultra 9 and the RTX 5070 Ti handle everything easily. I'm getting 150 FPS in Minecraft with Extreme Shaders! The 240Hz OLED screen is the best part; the colors and deep blacks are stunning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier performance in 2026.

This laptop has some drawbacks related to battery life and performance due to being a smaller size. I believe the trade offs are 100% worth the display and size/weight!

I’m amazed at the performance and how thin the laptop and is easy to carry around.Coupled with the beautiful oled display it makes it amazing to look at. The 12 gigs of vram is what really makes this laptop worth it I highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible performance and value for the price. zero regrets. I wanted something under $2k that had top of the line specs including the top of the line graphics card and processor and most recent RAM. got it all. AND an OLED screen? love it. gaming has always been a passion of mine, but never actually purchased a dedicated gaming computer. this blows away my expectations. I DO RECOMMEND you purchase a laptop cooling frame that has built in fans to help keep it cool and maximize performance. i bought a $50 one that tilts and it’s a must for maintaining peak performance.

Absolutely top of line. I've never owned a nicer laptop. I mean, this laptop puts some people's custom PC builds to shame. It's an absolute powerhouse. And it's pretty light and compact. It's really easy to travel with and it comes with this awesome case to put it in. Absolutely worth every dollar. And the price at my local Best Buy was actually really affordable. Also, my cat really loved to sit in the packaging.

This laptop takes everyrhing I throw at it. Ive played almost all my games on ultra and its not skipping a beat. Only complaints I could have are the fans are pretty loud and the speakers sound like a tin can but other than that I love this thing.
