This is exactly what my kids are using in the class room and it is working perfectly it is a great machine

My kids use the chrome book at their school so this was perfect to have at home so they can transition and use on their own

Great tablet for my kids that can also use it as a laptop. Not ideal for school use since limited to tablet friendly sites.

My son has been happy with this. He uses st a lot and likes that it is light enough to take to school

My 12 year old purchased this with money he saved. I questioned whether he should invest his money in this device but so far it has been great.

I was kind of skeptical because it's a Google computer but after connecting it and linking all my school work it functions perfect!

No problems so far. Would be 5 stars, but you have to switch from the standard operating mode to beta mode to use the Google Play Store Apps

Got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it!! Replaced a tablet with this and he is much happier with it.

It would be perfect if I could get Steam software without having to jump through a few hoops. Otherwise, it's a great machine.

Chromebooks are web-based devices and the amenities are great for this purpose. The touch screen is full HD and the forward facing stereo sound is good. This new model comes preloaded with the usual Google apps and also has the capability to download certain additional apps from the Google play store. The Chromebook interfaces nicely with my other google devices, phone, tablet, etc., so my calendar, bookmarks and docs sync up nicely so always current across devices. The newer wireless lan std IEEE802.11AC is included and has 2 usb 3 ports and 1 usb 3.1 port, all of which are backward compatible.. Chromebooks are web based and you do not have to pay for expensive software which is a plus and a minus depending on what you want to do. The silver brushed aluminum machine appears to be very well designed with solid parts and weighs less than 5 lbs and supposedly get 14 hours from the battery. So far I give 5 stars on Battery life alone. My first complaint was the lack of an hdmi port. However I discovered the one 3.1 port type supports up to 5 Gbps Display port. I have seen adapters for vga, hdmi, Ethernet, so the chrome book is flexible in this area. The Chromebook was easy to set up and quickly connected to my wifi and wireless Epson printer. There is no disk drive but there is a micro SD slot. I do not know the maximum size micro sd card it will accept. I will research this further when I find I need to use the SD slot. Will probably use for pictures, music to transfer from my desktop to the Chromebook. I have been unsuccessful in trying to get my husband to use a computer. The Chromebook is ideal for him and he has found it easy to use and he is looking forward to accessing the websites he wants without bothering me. So I give this model 5 stars as it is great for our needs.
