ChromeBooks: Sick of Windows?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My life is so much easier since my in-laws started using Chromebooks. I bought a total of three of these chromebooks and my "tech support phone calls" have gone down to almost nothing. The only thing these can't do is run Windows programs, but can surf the web and email just like any other laptop. The touchscreen lets them run Android apps from the play store. If want a small computer to run Linux you can put the ChromeBook in developer mode and hack away! The battery life is incredible, you might loose the charger.

Nice college laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My heavy HP laptop was killing me carrying it around campus, this chromebook is a lifesaver, very lightweight!! It took some getting used to (i.e. no caps lock button) but that can be modified in the settings and using Microsoft Office applications. Great laptop though, would highly recommend!

Great Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FYI - I work in IT and have for close to 30 years. I bought this to cast videos to my ChromeCast on my TV. This Acer R11 is speedy and lightweight. It has enough power to watch videos, use Netflix, surf the Internet, watch YouTube, and to connect to my home Network and watch my download movies as well. I love the touch screen. It is very responsive without being too touchy. I decided to bring it to work and give it a try. It is good enough to use at work as well. This is an inexpensive yet high quality Chromebook. If my daughters were still little I would have bought this as their first laptop.

Great for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son uses one in his school and now he has one for home.very easy to use. Keyboard is great. Have to get used to mouse/touch pad. But if you go in settings you can change it to how you want it. Got a hard case from amazon for it just because kids will be kids.

Great little Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife wanted a laptop for school, something with basic web browsing capabilities and with a word processing program, and after looking around at some options we fell in love with this Acer Chromebook. The cost was appealing, and after taking it home and putting it to use we are 100% satisfied. It's durable, has the option for tablet mode, touch screen, google docs, so many neat little features that I wouldn't know which to write about. I'll say this, if you're looking for a basic laptop with the ability to web browse, stream video and music, or write a paper, then this is a great deal.

Nice TV for bedroom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The employee who helped me, Ryan, did a tremendous job of informing me of the benefits of the TV's that I looked at. I thought it was customer service at its best. The TV was easy to set up and install and have been enjoying it each night.

Tough Little Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop for my 5 year old son. He adapted to using it very quickly and loved the convertible function. It switches from laptop to tablet mode with ease. The screen looks great, the touch screen is very responsive. The keyboard feels pretty good and the trackpad is ok. After many drops, a few spills and at least one kick down the hall, this laptop is still holding up very well. One of the toughest laptops I have ever owned - highly reccomended for younger kids that might be a bit rough on it.

Best Chromebook I've had
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had multiple Chromebooks over the last few years, mostly as a pure writing and browsing computer to carry around. This time it feels as if I hit the jackpot. I was between a Samsung Chromebook Pro and this one. The only reason I went with the Acer was I already have a phone and a tablet to draw on and I've heard the SPen with the other is not as responsive as what I'm used to with other devices that include the SPen. So I decided to save some money and get the Acer R11. With some fiddling around, I'm able to play games on it, utilize it akin to a tablet and still do the basic tasks the Chromebook was purchased for. The battery life alone makes it great for small trips. There are also many vinyl decals and keyboard covers to help cover the rather blinding white cover. It does have a rather nice feel to it overall, it doesn't feel cheap and flimsy and actually doesn't have the same issue my laptop has - it's not a fingerprint magnet! Also has HDMI out, two USB ports and a full-size SD card reader. The keyboard feels responsive and although slightly cramped it doesn't hamper my hands too badly. It also keeps up with my typing at full 70wpm speed with little issue at all. The screen is nice. Good quality, touch is responsive. It does gather fingerprints, but it isn't too glaring for me at least. The sound is nice in tablet mode but feels rather lacking with the speakers being on the bottom. I would have rather had speakers on the sides but it's nothing a good set of headphones won't fix (especially bluetooth). It also charges fast, a 30min charge gives me hours of browsing and game time. There are also inexpensive controllers that will work with this device for certain games as well. TL;DR: Good Chromebook for the price. Lots of "customization" options available and the great battery life we all expect from Chromebooks. Lacking on some ports but there's just enough to feel like you got your money's worth. ChromeOS is only getting better with time, so the small things that always bug me on newer Chromebooks (Android apps are not able to utilitze the SD card easily is the biggest peeve) may not even be around in a few months.

Chrome OS comes a long way
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bit of a background first. I initially bought a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (refurbished) and I started using that and had actually not used my Windows laptop for a long, long time! When I went back to my Windows laptop to access some files, I hated every bit of the OS (Windows 10), I started missing things like the track pad gestures and the quick boot up time. I personally enjoy Chrome OS and I thought the 4GB RAM in this one is excellent. The Chromebook looks cheap, but it works and the looks grow on you. The touchscreen with a 360 degree hinge only improves the experience and I bought this for my girlfriend. Now this is her only laptop, and she loves it. I am glad I went ahead with this, perfect for everyday use. The credit goes to Google for refining the OS and hardware for the Chromebooks, the usability of these laptops are the best I've had in a long long time.

Great for students
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my 15yr old. I did alot of research before picking this item. I wanted something he could use for school (since they use Chromebooks at school). However, I also wanted a device he could use for personal use to watch videos on Youtube. & have the Google Play store. Which is why I choice the 2-1 style. We've had it for a few weeks now an very happy with this purchase. Its so each to use! I cant find one gripe about it as of yet. I like it so much I might buy another one for my 8 yr. old.

Excellent touchscreen chromebook !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth the price. Acer Chromebook Touchscreen ! Specially good for Children Use. Chromebook's model of storage on MyDrive (cloud) and almost no local disk is the only one decision maker. Everything else is too good at good price.
