This Chromebook is one of the better models I've used. Quick, easy, and looks great on top of that. Highly recommended!

I have used PC ever since I can remember and my phone is android. I have owned laptops and they do alright but this is the best of all worlds if you just surf the web and do some work in spreadsheets and things. .This is awesome. Fold it up for a youtube/amazon viewer on a table. all the way for a tablet and the usual laptop configuration. I will never buy another laptop for home. This is all I will ever require. My wife and I both now own one for our couch surfing.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loved it from the moment he opened it. As being people who only own apple products, this was completely new territory for him. Within an hour of him playing with the laptop he was all set up and answering work emails. He also was able to hook a PS3 controller up to the Chromebook and play a game he had downloaded from the app store. He gets so much use out of it. Would recommend!

Small, but mighty! Excellent computer, for a beginner! Easy to use, great brightness and functionality! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smaller laptop!

Went in for a macbookpro came out with a chromebook. This computer was so easy to use and features all the required needs of a educational laptop that I would have been crazy to spend an additional $1,000 for what I use it for.

I got this laptop last year for xmas and it was worth every penny, I got it when it was on sale for a whopping $179!!! this labtop has preinstald antivirus so feel free to go on all the dirty webs and get ur internet game on!

Purchased for my daughter 2017, still working fine but its expiring June 2022.

The Acer Chromebook R11 is by far my favorite and the only chrome OS device that I've chosen to use for my "home device." The screen is vibrant and bright, tablet mode works surprisingly well, and the overall build quality is fantastic. For a sub $300 device you can't go wrong. Acer nailed it on this device. Let me just say, I was not expecting much from a Chromebook. Bought this little thing for school notes, browsing my websites, and playing the occasional app. This thing blew my expectations out of the water! It's so fast to boot up, super responsive touch, and the screen, regardless of its size and resolution, is beautiful. Would recommend this to anyone looking to venture into Chromebook territory.

I bought this chromebook for my child to use at school. When it works, it works well. The screen is excellent and the system is very responsive. Unfortunately, every few days the system will no longer recognize that it even has a wireless card. Wireless is "off" and there is no way to turn it back on (it turns itself off again immediately). Restoring/wiping the system does not help. The only solution that seems to work is to take the case apart and disconnect / reconnect the wireless card itself. I tried sending the system back to Acer for warranty work (since the relatively short Best Buy return Window passed). I had to pay about twenty dollars in shipping. They returned it to me saying they had fixed the chromebook with a software fix. It did work for a few days, but lost the ability to connect to wireless networks again within a week. I'm not paying another twenty dollars to send it back again. I definitely wish I would have bought a different brand / model.

Bought this for my mother, it is simple to use and does what she needs.

the laptop was fast and very versatile. the touchscreen didn't work great for me even though I have small fingers. the screen was just a little too small. if I could afford the same laptop at a bigger size it would have been great. this devise comes equipped with google which is not my preferred search engine.

Good for light-to-moderate couch surfing, but gets a little bogged down with more than 4 Chrome tabs open. Would be perfect if it had an i3 and a backlit keyboard. Still, as far as Chromebooks go, it's pretty solid.

The build and design is pretty nice and the sharp display is much better than the washed out TN panel looking low res stuff we are used to seeing on Chromebooks. I have no issues at all with this machine other than the trackpad moves and is pretty much useless. I tried two machines and both had the issue, so I returned them. The trackpad barely works, jumps all around, and moves around like it's not connected properly. I bought this for more lap use on the couch and having a mouse plugged in (which would obviously fix the issue) isn't what I want to do. Fantastic little machine otherwise.

perfect laptop for students- Excellent build quality, compact and very fast start up

I just bought this Chromebook tonight for my daughter. It started out great, but 3 minutes in the screen started to go black and re appear back on a blank web page. I went back to store and geek squad guy thought it was strange. They exchanged it for a new one. I drove home, plugged it in, got on the web and instantly the same problem started again. It seems as google chrome shuts down with unknown problem. BestBuy guys were great, maybe they just got a bad batch?

I really liked this machine, but about a week before the warranty ran out, the touchpad got flaky, and then it totally died the day before the warranty ran out. So I returned it. Maybe I got a rare lemon, but who knows?

My microphone doesn't work (so no "ok google") which is a known issue. Getting it fixed or replaced has not been easy. Still love it, just wish the microphone worked.
