One days use has made me a believer. well made and very fast. google play store works well albeit not perfect(98%). very nice and pleasing display. battery seems above average.very good piece of technology and even a better toy.

After doing a few hours of research this looked like the system for me. I wanted alot for a little including the ability to run android apps. And Best Buy had it on sale. However 3 different sales people told me flat out it does not run android apps even when I showed them Googles listing it as app ready. Once you power it up it will update to Chrome build 53.x or higher you can run almost all android apps. Some will not resize, but even this will get resolved. HOWEVER, if you live remotely like many here in Maine, it will not automatically update over a cellular network (i.e., hotspot, jetpack, etc). That protects you from a surprise data usage charge. There are three workarounds. Go somewhere you have wi-fi access and update. Make a recovery thumb drive on a pc or mac. Or for those with good pc skills and on an unlimited data plan. Do a Ctrl Alt t to enter the CrOSH shell and enter the command line "update_over_cellular enable" without the quotes. Then type "exit" to close the shell tab again without the quotes. I did the thumb drive first since I wanted to have recovery media, then I did the command line change. All of this can be found by a careful search of the Google Chromebook Support forums. Remember, if you have a normal Wi-Fi setup this will happen automatically. Best Buy employees should be aware of this. Android enabled Chromebooks are the hottest thing this year and there is no better buy than this ACER R11. Buy it with confidence.

Being a student, I need something fast and reliable. This is definitely it. I love it! Updates in seconds, Downloads in seconds, Starts up in seconds. Mine is refurbished, but has 0 marks or proof it was used. It has never ran out of battery on me. I would TOTALLY recommend this computer.

Great, durable laptop for the price! The touchscreen is responsive and display is very clear. My son uses it to game, do basic word processing, and watch Netflix. Only issue is that the mouse/touch pad is too tough to click and not sensitive at all. My son uses a mouse instead. Fortunately the touchscreen makes up for this negative...!

I recently bought a Lenovo 720 13 inch laptop and love it but wanted a smaller, less expensive laptop to take with me to a convention. I was more attracted to the Samsung Chromebook Plus due to the appearance and specs but the sound was awful. I kept researching online and so many good reviews for this Acer R11 that I gave it a second look, compared the speakers while in the store and the Acer blew away the other Chromebooks. I bought the Acer R11 and it not only saved me money but it's an absolute delight to type on, sound is terrific and the color/clarity of the display is very good. You can't beat it for the price. I actually like the white plastic retro look now and feels sturdy for sticking in my purse, Did I mention the Google App store works great? Awesome!

I picked up the Samsung 3 chromebook because it was cheaper. Returned it less than 24 hour this R11 is worth every penny it fast enough for all my needs research, home automation and streaming

This computer is absolutely amazing for the price. Long are the days where you had to break the bank for a sturdy and reliable laptop, thanks to Chromebooks. As a college student, this really is the perfect choice. Most college kids simply can’t afford to drop 500+ dollars on a laptop for school. Thankfully with this computer, you’re getting a sturdy, reliable, and surprisingly snappy laptop for the price. It’s also sleek, and feels as if it was made with true quality in mind.

So far I haven't found any issues with this Chromebook. Nice clear screen, sturdy but very light, fast and quiet b/c it doesn't need a fan. In some reviews it says the speakers are bad, but I don't have any complaints, they are not super loud, but they get the job done. I took a lil bit of "training" to get used to the functions on the touchpad, but it not a problem now. I was initially wanting a bigger screen and keypad, but for the price I'm very satisfied with what I bought.

I bought two of these for my 14-year-old daughters for Christmas. They are fast, sturdy and exactly what they needed for homework, Netflix and browsing the internet. I had a hard time making a decision because there are so many options (Should we invest in Macs? Is Cloud really the way to go? Will this be cheap and outdated?) and I really did overthink it. Look for sales (we got ours for $179 each)! We're very happy.

This is my second ACER laptop in almost 8 year,this Chromebook, work fast and is very portable and now i can install android apps so now is a better choice than a tablet ,the speakers sounds really good,the battery life is fenomenal,the screen is great,32gb of rom and 4gb of ram.

Since purchasing this Chromebook I have not used my Windows computer, this one has so many great features and is so easy to use not to mention that the price was low and even with that I did a price match 2 weeks later where the price was unbelievable for this computer.

i absolutely LOVE this computer and its so cheap for what your getting!!! i was really skeptical at first but its perfect for someone who is in school or someone who is on their email or just surfing the web!! i love it runs really fast, its made really nicely and the touch screen and 360 feature are LIFESAVERS!!! the battery life is also awesome and i can go for 6 or 7 hours without charging it! this computer is so worth the money your paying!

Very good Chromebook. It works very well, very fast and the touch screen works great. The only thing I could notice is the keys on the keyboard seem to need a bit of a harder tap. The Chromebook has Android apps working on it. One thing about it though, is it needs updated straight out of the box. It's not hard to do that though. All around great Chromebook. I was looking all around for great replacement for my Toshiba Chromebook 2, and this works great.

I had to update the Chrome OS before Android apps worked right. So do that. Very nice little laptop. It wouldn't be able to replace a "real" computer for me but it's a great supplement to my office iMac. Using Google Docs and MS Office 365, I can now work on the same documents anywhere

The Acer R11 chromebooks performance was great! But the hinges for the computer were crooked :( Hint: Return if you see is crooked!

Perfect for a college student who needs to write up homework.

The Acer R11 Chromebook model CB5-132T-C9KK with the Intel N3160 processor is blacking out the external monitor connected via HDMI cable to a Dell 24 inch monitor. The blackout of the external monitor only occurs when watching video, the screen blackout occurs after 30 minutes to 2 hours of watching youtube videos. The only way to get it to work again is to sign off and power cycle the chromebook. This is a known issue and is reported with bugs.chromium.org. The issue number is 677332. I'm not sure who if anyone will resolve this.
