    I love this 2 in 1 chromebook. It is super fast and so easy to use. The tablet feature and touch screen are very good as well. Great laptop for business or personal use.

    I originally bought two of these. One had a screen failure out of the box (constantly flashing and wouldn't allow you to click on things). The other was initially fine but 20% of the screen went black after 3 weeks. It's currently on its way to Acer for service.

    Great new Chromebook

    I bought this May 9, 2018. The chromebook is very light and portable. Very fast on my home WiFi. Videos play with no jerky issues. We love the various positions in which you can position it, from laptop to tablet. You do need to enable on screen keyboard each time you are in tablet mode. Battery life is very good, about 9 hours. charging is fast. This laptop is a perfect compliment to my windows laptop. Highly recommend this acer model.

    Purchased for my son for school. Seemed nice at first, but within the first month it is already dead. It will not take a charge. It has not been dropped or damaged in any way. I am hopeful that ACER will honor the warranty as we did not buy a geek squad plan for it.

    Piece of junk with a known issue

    The on/off power button doesn’t work consistently. I took it back to the store and the rep said “let me guess...the power button doesn’t work” he has had 5 returns I’d this kind already this month. They should pull the chrome book off the shelf.

    The Chromebook setup was easy, it starts up super fast every time, and the battery lasts all day. Portable drive(s) worked well and data transfer times were good through USB. The padded case was a nice plus and has enough room for the cords and power adapter. Changing from tablet to laptop mode was no problem and the screen is very responsive to touch and to the stylus. In 'tent' mode, the Chromebook is stable and the sound is good. I am very happy with this device!

    The first one I bought and within 24 hours, the pen was too sensitive. I got a replacement and whenever it charged it would make a very annoying sound. The screen also started to glitch out. I ended up buying an ipad instead.

    I got this chromebook for my eldery mom who uses computer to browse news and watch youtube. She loves the fact she can uses the touchscreen and not rely on mouse, but still has the full keyboard to type what she's looking for. It boots up super quick and it has everything that she needs, including very cool case! Battery life is very good, she only needs to charge at the end of the day and great sound quality for her drama show on youtube!

    This was horrible.. It was not worth the money paid. Purchased for school for my granddaughter. My daughter in law ended up taking it back as it stopped working twice.

    Would never buy another Acer product. This computer didn't even last 2 years. Acer's customer support is awful. They just transfer you around to different people.

    Have had to send it in for repair twice already. Battery connection cable keeps getting disconnected. Frustrating.

    Great, for the price

    Being a factory worker, I try to balence out the specs and price. You get a lot of Chromebook in this price range. The large bezel and all plastic case make it a bit more theft resistant. One thing I don't like is that my USB type C headphones aren't supported. One thing I do like is I can close the chromebook and charge it using my cell phone charger. My last laptop was a Toshiba Chromebook 2. The smaller screen on this device is taking some getting used to, but larger screens would be a bit more cumbersome in tablet mode. With the touch screen, I no longer need to attach a mouse. Reading books is awesome as I can simply fold the keyboard underneath and set it on my lap. Some Android apps only work in portrait mode, but that's a developer issue, not an ACER issue. My workaround is using the website instead of the app and hitting the fullscreen button. There is a spot at the top of the keyboard where a 13 mp camera could go, and with the amazing screen, this would be great for indoor photography and photo editing. This is also my first laptop from ACER. Way to go guys! This one is a keeper!

    Solid Choice for Normal Use

    When I received this Chromebook, I was a little wary. In the past I had purchased a Netbook and was highly disappointed. Their physical similarities concerned me as I opened the packaging. But that is where my worries ended. This Chromebook provides the speed, ease and reliability that make it a wonderful choice for the beginner, novice and expert user alike. I have a 10 year old daughter and my wife who is in her 30's. My daughter has used chromebooks in school for the past three years and was able to login and immediately start playing games and watch videos. She said that it was WAY better than others she had used. My wife is a little less technologically savvy. Her biggest complaint was that she had a learning curve because this Chromebook was , "like mixing computer and a smartphone together." But with a little usage, the learning curve was gone and this device became her go-to for digital usage over her phone and our larger laptop. As for me, I was intrigued by the ingenuity and thought put into the design of this Chromebook. For example, the Chromebook uses a USB charge which can be charged from ports on both sides. Being able to flip the touchscreen to any angle up to 180 degrees, make it great for whatever you may do, from browsing the internet, to playing a game, to watching a movie. The keyboard is crisp and responsive. The touch screen is also responsive and accepts multi-touch commands (ie. Zooming in/out, etc) We also had everyone logged into this device at one time and there was no noticeable lag. We utilize a lot of streaming video which this machine handled perfectly. There was little to no buffering after hours of play. The screens brightness and crispness allowed for enjoyable watching even with bright ambient light. You may worry about the size. However, I'm glad I went with this size over the slightly larger version. It the perfect "handheld size." Others have mentioned that the screens bezel is a little larger, however after some usage, it really isn't noticeable and doesn't affect performance or enjoyment. If I had to nitpick, I would ask for a backlit keyboard to assist in low light usage.The speakers are adequate but are lacking any depth and quality, However the ability to link bluetooth speakers can make up for that. In conclusion, I would recommend this product for anyone that is looking for a device to browse the internet, stream videos/music, complete emails and documents, and utilize apps.
