Horrible Geek Squad experience!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2-10-22 I purchased a Ring Doorbell, Webroot software, & Total Tech 2 year service package to get the doorbell installed by the Geek Squad & trouble shoot our previously purchased sound system that shuts itself off randomly, in the Burleson, TX store. I was told by Elijah, the man that identified himself as the Department Manager, my Ring Doorbell would be installed 2-15-22 between 12-8. No one contacted me until an email arrived at 1:00am on 2-15-22 rescheduling my appointment to arrive 7:00am-1:00pm which I could not do since it was only 6 hour notice! After multiple phone calls, Dale, with Installs, Inc., a sub contractor that installs Best Buy's Ring Doorbells, arrived 2-19-22. He was nice but did not install it correctly. He forgot to attach the "jumper cable" to our existing home chime to disable it. So, I had to call again & this time reached an inexperienced representative, Taylor, that canceled my 2-22-22 appointment & rescheduled it for 2-24-22. So, the Ring Doorbell I purchased on 2-10-22 was finally operational 2-24-22 after multiple frustrating phone calls!! My experience was horrible!!

Dont pay for them to install.

They showed up one time and told us to exchange the sound bar and they would come back. We did and they never came back. We scheduled to more times and they never showed. Now they are telling us we need to pay again for us to get service. We are members and pay that membership around 200/year. That dont help. So we are out 309 plus sound bar price. That sucks.

Was convenient

Geek Squad Home Theatre Audio Install Incomplete
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The install of the new receiver for my home theatre speakers was not successful - sound was fine on the few TV stations tested but after tech left and other stations were selected it was apparent the audio was defective — can hear background but no voices. I was unable to reach the tech to provide some advice on how I might be able to correct myself so I had to schedule a re-do. So I am without the use of this TV until then which is over 2 weeks away. Not happy.

Reinstall home theater system after construction i

Sound bar to tv connection. Mouth movement off!

One star for Best Buy rep. Saying your sound bar extended warranty will cover it only to get a email saying I cancelled the appointment which I did not and the email said now it’s not covered.100 bucks for 15 minutes?

Sound bar

Our wifi went out when he worked on setup and he was unable to get it back on. My wife works from home. I had to walk them thru getting it back up and working over the phone while i was at work. He was a nice guy thougj.

I had someone else come it and it works a little better but goes "off kilter" occasionally. I would recommend follow ups to see if all is working properly.

Do not hire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made four appointments for the Geek Squad to handle a 1-2 hour project. I was extremely detailed in what I was seeking. Twice, your employees were scheduled for 15 minute appointments, which is basically walking in and out the door. This is incredible to me after I have to take off work, and wait till an employee arrives anywhere between 7 AM and 1 PM or between noon and 7 PM. These are ridiculous blocks of time if appointments must first be scheduled, and then, to have your reps say they have no flexibility when they show up. The other two appointments were no-shows with no phone calls or any sort of follow up. I have also left numerous messages with the Geek Squad manager with no return calls This is highly unprofessional, and I have alerted numerous people who were planning to call the Geek Squad. It was a tremendous waste of time and money. I am so disappointed
