    Setups/installation didn’t meet my expectations

    Wasn’t too pleased with the installation. I requested for all the speakers to be synchronized with another one I had purchased prior and the tech didn’t do it. In fact, he claimed that was not possible nor necessary. Initially, I was hoping after the installation the sound experience from having a Geek Squad tech was going to be ebullient and flawless but it has not.

    I guess "core audio" install just means that the TV sound is working. We did have an existing sound system that we feel the installers did not address, or tie into.

    Had a in home consultation with a magnolia adviser. Waited over 3 weeks for the appointment to set up the 7.2.2 system. In home advisor set expectations that this would be a easy thing. When first installers showed up they only set up the system fir a 3.1 set up and said they didn’t advise doing more. Second installer showed up after I went to store to get issue resolved. This tool another week. His conclusion was to do it different than both in home advisor suggested abc first installer. Working on 5 weeks later, have not even gotten a follow up call from magnolia to see if situation has been resolved or if they could do anything. Simply put I’ve waired 5 weeks, Best Buy has not resolved the issue. Not one person who has come to my home has done anything I could not do myself. If you Have a simple set up I suggest do it your self. If you getting into a complicated installation beware you may be better choosing other professionals to install

    Work but with damage

    They installed everything and it works great; however, when they installed the front speakers there is a hole in the ceiling that still shows. The installers told me to just get some putty or cock and fill the hole in my ceiling. I will now have to hire someone at an additional cost to fix this or live with the holes. Not to happy about this at all. I feel it is something they should have fixed or paid for to be fixed.

    the Geek Squad agent spent 3 hours TRYING to hook up my BOSE sound bar and failed to do so. He also could not hook up my T V back to normal. I needed to call Comcast to hook it up.

    Called numerous times throughout the day, even got an attitude from a representative. They were persistent that they were going to come in sometime throughout the day and never did. Called to reschedule, filed multiple complaints and was told I was going to receive compensation but never did. Resulting in us missing the World Series. As a My Best Buy Plus Member I was very disappointed with my purchases.

    "Harmony" installed with new and old equipment - TV, speakers, CD, AM/FM,receiver - supposed to "fix the problem" itself - sometimes it does, sometimes not.

    Subsequent appointment did what was previously discussed- hook up receiver to work with TV control rather than sound bar.

    The sound bar hasn’t been working for the past few weeks. I paid to have it repaired and it’s still not working. I’m very disappointed with the Geek Squad service.

    I am very disappointed in the service I have received. I went into the store at the end of March and spent nearly 3500.00 on a sound system- I have had 5 visits from geek squad, spent extra $$ to get things here before the scheduled install and it looks like it may not be resolved until end of May. I have had to reorder products that were wrong.... I travel and since they have not been able to get things done as promised- I have to keep rescheduling. Today they sent one man out for 2-man job so I am rescheduled for May 24. Which means it will be at least 10 weeks before this is resolved. The guys that come out are very polite and are doing their best - but there is NO coordination. I would never use Best buy again for this kind of work.

    Knew how to put tv up and sound bar but not how to connect everything together so now have 3 remotes and have to get someone else to merge them all.

    The agents did not do much to fix the issue but rather tweaked few settings and in about 10 minutes they left my place.

    Tv not right. Sound is bad. Voice and picture not synch. Properly. So bad had to return sound system that I purchased.

    The tech person arrived and said he could not install either the TV or sound bar because the Tv mount was not right. He was asked what kind of mount was needed and he said he didn't know. It seems it is his job to know what components will work. If I knew all the answers, I wouldn't need Geek Squad help. I have hired an AV company and they knew exactly what was needed. TV works great. I think my days with Total tech support are over. Although, up until now, the service has been excellent. I might just chalk this experience e up to a "bad apple". I clicked on "No" when asked if I would recommend Geek Squad service to a friend. Actually, I have been a huge advocate until this most recent experience. There should be a maybe option. The tech told me I wasn't being respectful and then he and his partner walked out the door.

    Third party installer showed up a hour and a half late. I have to unplug and plug back in the soundbar each time in order for it to work. While watching programs T.V. Turns off by itself. Very frustrating.

    Didnt exactly know how to set up my stuff as fast as I thought he would. I spent most of the time on the phone with sony getting to hooked up
