    normally the tv install includes cable box equipment...I didn't have any but the sound bar I purchased from best buy needed to be plugged in to the new tv (from best buy). they said they would have to charge me $49 wow, really all of 5 minutes.

    The sound isn't great but it is ok. Even with the subwoofer it has very little bass.

    Sound bar continues to fail. The unit has power, and all indicators reflect it is the default audio output, but it frequently goes absolutely dead …. as it is right now. Very frustrating. Clearly a bad setup between the Sony “smart TV” and my Apple TV 4K.

    Geek squad 3rd party installer incompetent.

    Had Sony TV and Sony Sound bar delivered and installed. The technician did not know the TV feet were adjustable and said I would need to put a block of wood under the feet so the soundbar did not block the screen. After I helped him figure out the feet did adjust, he could not get the sound bar to sync to the TV. So I needed to return it to Best buy. He said even though he delivered it I would have to return the sound bar myself. I have COPD so this was a hardship for me. Nice customer service!!!

    The tech that was sent wasn’t trained in home theatre so he could do nothing towards resolving our service ticket. Now we’re being rescheduled another three weeks out! Unacceptable!

    Had set up for soundbar repair not setup after canceling twice without calling me finally showed up tried get me to reschedule again mind you already cgarged me for work two weeks ago, showed up when wouldnt reschedule told me couldnt fix anything just wanted to move what did work around to spread sound which i wouldve done anyway if i knew they wouldnt fix anything.

    Initial setup was fine but I'm finding issues as I use the item. For instance, hitting pause on the remote disconnects the sound and getting it back takes some playing with the item controls.

    The agent couldn't do anything because my receiver was to old. It didn't have hdmi. Needed to purchase a new receiver. The tech departed. Need to get a refund for the geek squad service that wasn't done to my account under 2025777877 - thank u in advance.

    Don't Trust the Geek Squad to Do the Job Correctly

    There were 2 Geek Squad members. One was very rude and rushed through the job. She rushed so much that she did not install my TV correctly and left me with a dysfunctional TV and sound bar. I had to call a technician from another company to come and correct her many, many mistakes. He found she not only install the TV and sound bar incorrectly, she also broke the cable box which had to be replaced. I will not trust the Geek Squad for any job in the future.

    You could do this yourself with proper instructions. Tv was already setup. It took 1 min to setup the soundbar.

    Jobs was not done. Once technician left turn the TV back on everything was not fixed have a new date for July 29th have not got the confirmation yet I had to call the 1-800 number to set this up I'm on vacation right now won't be back till July 28th

    sound bar was installed behind the tv sony a9g sits flat and sound bar takes away the bottom two inches of the tv .this sound bar was recommended on the web site and by the sales associate.. [george] in the process of correcting this problem

    I ordered this on 12/24/24, it did not get delivered until mid March ‘25 due to a variety of excuses. Then, the installers did not set up the rear speakers. I just returned the item, waste of time.
