    Horrible! They obviously didn’t know what they were doing. They installed the electrical box inside my wall but WAY off center. The first thing you see when you walk into my living room is the box. It’s not just peeking. It’s out there!! When I slid the tv over to try to cover it. It’s WAY off center on the wall. It’s infuriating. I tried getting this resolved and they totally blew me off. Unprofessional customer service. Never again will I shop at Best Buy!!

    I got this cause I have hearing loss. In the store it was extremely loud. When they installed it, it’s not any louder than the speakers on the TV. I have to turn the volume up to 50 to hear it.

    the item was defective and the techs advised me not to buy or exchange this item for the same. i'm not impressed with the product and was dissapointed with the lack of quality. the geek squad team was impressive and i would highly recommend them. i'm not unhappy with best buy, i'm just sad i couldn't resolve this with an exchange.

    The installer was a contract employee (not Geek Squad). He very much was lacking product knowledge. From this point on I am insisting on a real Geek Squad employee for any work I need as they are professional and very knowledgable.

    Tech very negative and unwilling to do full job

    The tech said the scheduler had not booked enough time though I had completely described what was required. Tech only partially hooked up the components, argumentative but finally with our insistence switched wiring/cables so that all speakers could play simultaneously. He left out one component entirely. Consequently, the speakers that have had excellent sound for years now sound terrible and two areas still project sound when the sound is turned off!!! Hopefully someone in your company actually reads these comments and will contact me about the situation! Thank You

    This item seemed to get lost somewhere in the overall process. When the installer arrived he didn’t know anything about this item. I drove back to Best Buy the next day and arranged for a refund. I would have been much happier if everything had gone as planned.

    The Geek Squad never showed up for any of the appointments I made and I am astounded that you had the nerve to charge my credit card for a job that you never did. I took two days off work and waited and waited, but no one ever showed up and your inept scheduling system provided no quality information when I phoned your customer service department repeatedly. I lost wages, still do not have my receiver installed in a system you guys created AND you erroneously charged my credit card!

    Not very good at all the bass is gone and I tried numerous times to connect it and sounds terrible. Best Buy would not even help me out I payed top dollar

    Geek squad can’t work on garage door openers so l

    He was unable to complete television installation to garage door openers . In fact left me with no access to my garages as doors were inoperable when he finished playing with the garage door openers. Not recommended for this type of work.

    Cable TV does not work with TV

    After returning to fix a problem with no sound from the audio system when streaming Amazon Prime we discovered that the cable signal no longer works with the TV. We still do not have a functioning system. I texted the technician to return and finish the work but as yet no reply. When I have time which is very limited with my work I will have to come into the store to arrange for the Geek Squad to return. It took four weeks waiting for the installation and now has been a few more with an poorly functioning system. Seems that when the set up is completed the techs should to a full functional test to make sure all is working.

    Just had my basement redone because of a flood. TVs and soundbars were already hung by my contractors. Called geek squad to connect soundbar and speakers. Tech came and called me wanting to know what to do. Red Flag #1. I expected my speakers to be set up in optimized way to enjoy my surround sound. All he did was turn on speakers to make sure it worked. 2nd soundbar he says needed optical cable. Shouldn't he have one Red Flag #2. He was gone in 15 mins on 2 soundbar installs. Total rip off I even paid $200 for the total protection plan. Where were the helpful techs that made suggestions and adjusted everything? Not at my house

    Clear difference between Subs & Geek Squad.

    Contractor had to finish installing since they got there after the Geek Squad Mounted but not fully connected. Moved another system and just stuffed wires. Very sloppy. The Geek Squad better team.

    The physical installation was fine and easy inasmuch as the area was prewired. The tech showed me how to turn the AV system on and coordinate with other components. He merely adjusted the system capabilities to "his experience" settings. He did not use the built-in adjustment procedure for the receiver. Now having issues with sound clarity but unsure of what or how to adjust. No training regarding adjustments. Zone 2 speakers will not turn on. System says they are on but no sound. The individual components are great, I think, but I really don't know how to maximize the experience. Not a significant difference in sound experience for TV, movies or music despite the $$. Was expecting more!

    Tech claimed set-up charge did not include mounting on wall, had to pay additional amount ($69, I think). Tech didn't plan ahead, had to locate sound bar farther below TV than desired in order to lift it onto the mount.
