Soundbar install

I did most of the work myself; I just couldn’t take down the TV that was installed the last time from Best Buy. (Too big for one person). They told me that they’re not here to take down a tv, just here to install a soundbar. The soundbar was going on a table, not on the wall. How would you install a soundbar if you can’t remove the tv. It made no sense. I would have done it myself but the tv is so close to the wall I can’t get my hand behind it to place then hmi cable in the back.

Arrogance doesn't always work very well

He was asked what kind of mount was needed and he said he didn't know. It seems it is his job to know what components will work. If I knew all the answers, I wouldn't need Geek Squad help. I have hired an AV company and they knew exactly what was needed. TV works great. I think my days with Total tech support are over. Although, up until now, the service has been excellent. I might just chalk this experience e up to a "bad apple". I clicked on "No" when asked if I would recommend Geek Squad service to a friend. Actually, I have been a huge advocate until this most recent experience. There should be a maybe option. The tech told me I wasn't being respectful and then he and his partner walked out the door.

Geek Squad Sound System Installation

Had to ask him to optimize the sound bar once installed. He was passive and not enthusiastic in putting together the sound system

Not worth it for basic setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only thing I got out of it is the soundbar was a big one so he took out, setup on TV stand, powered up. Overall I don't think it was worth paying the $49 for basic audio setup as he didn't do much beyond. It turns out that he didn't use the HDMI cable that came with it and almost walked off with it and gave me an optical audio cable. After he left, I setup with HDMI and did all the audio adjustments and then this soundbar was truly ready for action.

Work but with damage

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They installed everything and it works great; however, when they installed the front speakers there is a hole in the ceiling that still shows. The installers told me to just get some putty or cock and fill the hole in my ceiling. I will now have to hire someone at an additional cost to fix this or live with the holes. Not to happy about this at all. I feel it is something they should have fixed or paid for to be fixed.

Bose sound bar 900 and base module 700

I love Bose products but this has been disastrous for me and my family. I am contemplating returning it for a different system.

Waste of time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a in home consultation with a magnolia adviser. Waited over 3 weeks for the appointment to set up the 7.2.2 system. In home advisor set expectations that this would be a easy thing. When first installers showed up they only set up the system fir a 3.1 set up and said they didn’t advise doing more. Second installer showed up after I went to store to get issue resolved. This tool another week. His conclusion was to do it different than both in home advisor suggested abc first installer. Working on 5 weeks later, have not even gotten a follow up call from magnolia to see if situation has been resolved or if they could do anything. Simply put I’ve waired 5 weeks, Best Buy has not resolved the issue. Not one person who has come to my home has done anything I could not do myself. If you Have a simple set up I suggest do it your self. If you getting into a complicated installation beware you may be better choosing other professionals to install

Quick fix

UNABLE TO CONTROL THE SOUND BAR

No Volume

Had no volume and I had to play around with the TV channels or turn the TV off and on.

System overhaul needed

Gentlemen who eventually came to my home were courteous and skillful. I made literally a dozen trips to store to rectify horrible situation. Missed days of work waiting for deliveries that never came. Phone system for customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Everyone I spoke to in store were as helpful as they could be but one department has no idea what the other is doing. The fact that their is no one answering phones in store led to my dozen plus trips. As a loyal customer since Best Buy opened, you really need to do better.

Utter Incompetence

The first appt showed up and “wasn’t aware it was a wall-mounted install”. The 2nd appt showed up and said they couldn’t install because they needed a different racket. Yesterday I was AT THE STORE and set up install for today. When I called to verify this morning, I was told we weren’t on the schedule. The install people at the store on 22nd st. In St Pete are completely incompetent. Use a small, locally-owned company for your installations rather than these buffoons.
