    They required payment in advance toconnect a new smart tv to my home theater.They sent a contractor ( not geek squad). After three attempts they did not complete the task but refused to refund my money. I had to pay for a different company to complete the job. Best Buy has still not refunded my money. I’ll never buy anything from them again.

    At the appointment for installation, it was determined that we did not want this item (soundbar). So one of the techs said he would take it back and we would get a refund. I do NOT see the refund listed.

    Don't expect anything more than hooking up HDMI

    I expected Geek squad to not only connect the power and an HDMI cable, but to set up the optimal settings for the LG C3 TV that this was a matched LG sound bar with. Instead, they installed both, turned them on, and handed me the remote saying it works. I assumed they had some level of expertise or would at least go through room optimization feature or show me the settings. Instead, they are on a time frame and although were polite and took good care not to track in dirt and to clean up after themselves, I guess I expected more.

    Unfortunately, the GS tech was unable to connect the Bose sound bar when setting up new TV. The function had to be completed by TV provider tech. However, he was able to complete the balance of TV set-up (newly purchased) as well as mount to wall. This review focused on sound bar only.

    Didnt exactly know how to set up my stuff as fast as I thought he would. I spent most of the time on the phone with sony getting to hooked up

    I recently bought TV and sound bar from Best Buy and Geek Squad install. Had problems with sound bar GS serviced X2 on third visit determined sound bar was defective. Purchased more expensive SB after about 1month could get no sound from TV or SB called GS got the run around about item had to be a certain weight for GS to come service went to BB got lip service only. This is a long story but the bottom line is you have lost my business and I will tell everybody I know about how I was treated.

    I am a loyal Best Buy customer. I left Nashville and relocated to Kansas City. I needed my Best Buy purchased home theater re-connected and set up. When the tech arrived, he immediately called for help to lift my 65" TV onto the stand. He complained the whole time. Help arrived in 5-10 minutes. The tech quickly connected the components but informed me that the speaker wires for the rear speakers were missing and he couldn't connect those. I asked if he could sell me some new ones and he abruptly said "NO". I told him I would run buy some at Nebraska Furniture Mart two blocks away if he could drill holes and run them under the floor like they did in Nashville. He said he didn't do that! I asked if he would have Geek Squad call me to get me some help. He mumbled "yeah". You can check the log, he was out of here in 30 minutes and that cost me $199. I still have not heard from anyone about hooking up my two rear speakers. Will you please have someone contact me? Thanks, Bill D.

    We wish the geek person spent time to explain fully the functionality of the control. It seems he is in a hurry and did not give us pamphlet for the t.v.

    Make sure you need this. A lot of confusion on my last hook up. Wasn’t very happy, however I recommend this and geek squad

    The speakers were installed but I just noticed that one was mounted upside down. Also I had to buy longer rca cable and install my self.

    The sound bar is ok. some what over priced. The TV sound is as good as the sound bar.I would consider a less expensive "bar" for just TV use.

    They left me with no literature for any of the products they installed. They said my VHS and cd player would not work with this T.V. And after calling Best Buy I found out that was not true

    Technician mounted sound bar so we have to point the cable remote behind the tv to turn it on/off and control the volume. He left his card and number to call if we needed him to come back for any reason. So I called, and he never returned my call. I called Best Buy to get a different tech and was told I’d have to wait over a month to have someone come and fix it. Ugh! The tv is mounted on the mantle and the extra cable wire is attached at the top back in the middle. I’m elderly and can’t get up on a ladder and do it myself. I’m going to try to get a friend to come and fix it. I’ve never had a problem with Geek Squad before. Usually, they go above and beyond to make sure I’m satisfied with their work. This is a first!
