Telephone person @ Call Center
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Working with "Nine" in your call center was "Painful," It took an inordinate amount of time to set up the appointment for the Geek Squad to install my antenna. I was left on hold and had to ask if anyone was still there. I will write a rating for the installation when they finish. Sincerely, Gordon J Cameron II

Connected Apple TV

Installation xfinitynbox

They did not install the new Xfinity box with the new equipment supplied. (Said power box not working which was not true. I took it to xfinity to be checked. They were hesitant to help us with other issues. I felt that because my husband and I are in our 80’s they had written w us off as ignorant. We paid service charge for something we got have done.

Tivo Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought our Tivo to allow us to record shows when we ended our satellite TV service and put an antenna on our roof. We are not technologically adept so we purchased the Tivo from Best Buy specifically so the Geek Squad could install it. Two home visits were required to get the system working properly. Our main complaint isn't about the techs, however, but about the difficulty contacting the Geek Squad and making the appointments. Phone wait times were extremely long. I'm not talking about 5 or 10 minutes, but 30-40 minutes on hold! Why?? Hire more people!!

Awful

Two or no-shows, two technicians came and didn’t know how to do it, once they didn’t have the right equipment and the sixth appointment was three hours late and they finally got it done. The technicians were very nice and capable.

Horrible Experience!

We are Totaltech members and one of the selling points to us was the fact of having the extended warranties and the set up on purchases. Guys were nice but our projector was never set up correctly. They didn't get it connected to wifi or leveled correctly on to the screen. Never connected and checked to see if TV worked just that projector turned on. Instructions and gloves and hardware that were included with the bundle was not opened or used. Screen was wrinkled tope right corner and they said all screens they have put up have defects. Had to call Geeksquad after and spent a LONG time on the phone with Austin and had to get thing set up as best we could ourselves until they could get someone back out at first available appointment which was over a week later!!

Efficiency has become deficiency

They never showed up. They wanted me to come to the store and pay for the appointment before they'd come. They never told me that. They couldn't take a credit card. Why can't you have secure credit card software---you claim to be a tech company. Well, your attempt at greater efficiency have irritated this once-faithful customer.

totally ill prepared to install a dryer, no tools,

They didn't have a "pipe wrench" (really!?!? who goes to install a pipe without even the tools, AND they didn't have a necessary fitting either. Lucky them, I HAD A SPARE FITTING IN MY OWN SHOP.. lemme see, I hired them to do WHAT? OH YEAR, INSTALL A DRYER. lol What a concept, bring tools and fittings!

Two stars because the geek guys were very nice.

I assumed they had done the job that I requested when they left. They had not. Now I have the same thing I had when they arrived. I am out $150 for absolutely nothing. Do not let them leave your house without demonstrating that everything you wanted and paid for has been done.

geek squad tried to install a wireless antenna.

After trying for a while and finally getting a picture (which was really poor) on fox 59 he told us that was all I would get. No channel 4 or other ones available. Told us we need to get a stronger antenna and we could take the one he had tried back cause the box was not torn up (which he had opened). Was there to install software on a tablet. Ok with that put really don't want him (James) back. Called geek squad to schedule another agent plus bought another stronger antenna.
