    We were to have the tech This Thursday. No one called. I called and they told me that the tech was sick ?COVID? That really, really upset me and a new date was reserved.PLEASE.PLEASE I want the tech to call me the night before to confirm the am appt. THANK YOU

    They were not able to get a picture on the projector. They thought it was an issue with the dvd player. It ended up being an issue with the type of HDMI cable. I had to fix it myself.

    the apps worked while rep was here but now they dont and now we have 2 use remotes just to turn on active TV which was not he case before

    Geek Squad has flaws

    The tech resolved the issue but he was the one that installed it initially. He should have tested his connections prior to leaving the job. I had to pay an additional $100 so the Geek Squad could come back and fix their mess as I already have paid $149 for the install.

    Horrible customer service. I paid for installation of my Epson Projector which was scheduled for Sept 2. Some Best Buy people came out on Sept 2 and said the job was not scheduled right. Then it got rescheduled for Sept 15. On Sept 15 I received a call saying that it was scheduled wrong again so they rescheduled it for today, Sept 19 from noon to 5pm. It is now 3:30 and no one has shown up and I have not received any call from Best Buy. I have called Best Buy support and I have been shuttled around and I have been on hold now for about 30 minutes. I look at my account and see that Best Buy has this installation listed as "Complete". Unbelievable.

    Item has not been installed yet. Geek Squad is bringing it with them to install. Installation date was changed by Geek Squad to now April 8th.

    Scheduling and communicating with the Geeks

    Had much difficulty with scheduling, even on a more than 24hr notice to change schedule of home service. I, however found great help in Best Buy Shannon Reynolds who contacted the Geek Squad boss, Jeff Parks.

    great store service however absolutely terrible install experience . You now use national or international help desk. The individuals on the other line speak with such heavy accents that they could not be understood. I called twice and the second person was Indian and extremely unhelpful. I only had the computer for 1 hour and logged off and tried to log back on without success. Due to the installer screwing it up. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

    BOUGHT A NEW PHONE AND GOT APPLE TV FOR ONE YEAR. FOUND OUT I MUST PAY FOR THE MOVIES EVEN THOUGH I ASSUMED THEY WOULD BE FREE OF CHARGE. DO NOT PLAN ON CONTINUING THIS SERVICE. WILL LEAVE WHEN MY YEAR IS UP. WOULD LIKE SOME EXPLANATION WHY I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS.

    devices were set up, but now well. Lots of detachable items were not properly removed and wire management was NOT done. Very disappointed.

    Remote Controls and Headphone Installation Failed

    I always promote this service since I am not computer savy when it comes hooking up electronics including programming remotes. My Geek Squad showed up but didn't know anything about programing televisons or hooking up my newly purchased headphones. Needless to say, nothing really got done. Working full time and planning these appointments without positive results was disapointing. I will say he was very friendly, but a computer geek not a televison, stereo tech.

    I have always been happy with Geek Squard. On the other hand, when send children out to do a job this is normally what you get. This was the worst service I have seen in a while. The two guys just threw my personal belongings around inside my credenza. In addition, they did not care at all about the set up of the TV or my other items. They left wires wrapped around the front of my equipment and literally just threw my belonging around.
