It’s an ok photoshop program. I had the older version on my old laptop and I loved it! It did everything I wanted to however this version falls short. I’m not able to do what I did with the older version.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas and she loves it.

First off I have to say, if you have a choice of just downloading the app from online or purchasing the DVDs’ Get the DVD unless you have an hour or more to download the 2 gig file. I would have figured that Adobe would have some good DL bandwidth but it took me over an hour to download the file and I have fast internet. The install was fairly quick and simple. The platform looks like a website when loaded and has hints and how to’s on the top of the screen. I like this as the instructional videos and links are very good for beginners. From this page you can launch your organizer which is a one stop area to organizer and list your photos and keep them in order which makes searching for them in the future a snap and not hours of guess work with is very painful for photographers. I consider myself an advanced amateur photographer with multiple cameras and lenses for all occasions and shooting conditions. I love landscape shooting more than any other type. This software make auto batch processing to clean up photos in a group or folder. Which is what I do. But before I run this batch I always go through the pictures and pull out my favorites that I would like to further enhance on my own. I love the preset filters and adjustments as with the preset it should you a grid box of possible changes and you pic the one that is best for you. (see quick fix, offers great photo choices of your corrected images) For photos that you would like to clean up or add to, Elements give you just about every conceivable option to change your photos, from mild to wild. I like the ability to make minute changes to lighting, color, sharpness, contrast etc. If you do not like the changes just revert back or don’t save the picture upon exit. I used to shoot in Jpeg only as my previous free software only had the ability to make minor enhancement but this software has made me switch to RAW to make multiple creative changes. The batch processing is pretty quick, of course this depends on the number of photos and the processing power of your pc. This software is great for the amateur to the pro who doesn’t need a copy of the full blown Photoshop.

I'm new to Photoshop Elements but am finding it very user friendly and easy to use. My favorite part of the software are the three modes of editing. Quick, Guided, and Expert. Guided is probably the mode I use most as they have 6 categories Basics, Color, Black & White, Fun Edits, Special Edits and Photomerge. Within each of these categories they then have options with examples of before and after splits on the photos that you can drag left to right to see what you can do. My favorite is Black and White Selection. This is where you take and make everything black and white except for a selection that stays color. The example they give is a girl holding a basket of Easter eggs that are in color and everything else is black and white. I would definitely recommend this package to friends for a relatively cheap entry cost of $99 as you will get your money worth of edits in no time.

Photoshop Elements 2019 is ok but I miss the ability to purchase photoshop rather than pay on a monthly basis.

Not easy for beginners to figure out. It is difficult to move people and change backgrounds. Not as easy as it claims

I already had LR light Room on anothe computer and just transfered it to my new lap top there did not need

Adobe Photoshop Elements really is a nice program for those who are just looking to do some light photo editing or wanting to get creative with slideshows. Adobe makes Elements available via a download, which was a little slow for my taste, but maybe they had a lot of traffic on their end? I'd prefer to have the disc version, so if you can find that, do it. Once you've downloaded and installed the software, it will automatically gather all of your pictures and organize them for easier access. Having used the Adobe Photoshop for years, I found elements to be more user friendly with lots of helpful tips and guides. Elements allows the user to set the depth of the experience from very minor photo adjustments that can be automatic or tweaked, to more guided enhancements, to the full blown editing that Adobe Photoshop is known for. I find a lot of the filters and creative slideshows to be less useful for me. When I want to edit a picture, I know exactly what I need to do and how to do it. Having a bunch of collages and slideshows just doesn't get me excited, but retouching a nearly perfect picture to make it 100% really gives me a sense of accomplishment. In conclusion, I'd recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements for most users. This is probably too much for those who just want to remove some redeye or tinker with the lighting on their vacation pictures. There are tons of cheaper or even free software that will accomplish that without dropping $100 or eating up gigabytes of space on your drive. However, if you actually have an interest in more serious photo editing (you don't need to be a pro or even really experience at all), then this would be a good way to get your feet wet while also providing the opportunity to dive all the way in. Pros: *Guided features *Ability to adjust the level of involvement (basic edits, guided edits, more experienced edits) *Adobe quality Cons: *Large download required *Some of the photo organizing and auto generated material just seemed too gimmicky to me. *Price isn't bad, but if you just want to remove redeye, find something free.
