When I first booted up the game, the detective portions through me off, and I really started to second guess this purchase. But instead of complaining about the lack of action and this horror/walking simulator shift, I let myself get absorbed in the experience and wow. I waited specifically for the physical release to play this game and it was well worth the wait. By the end, I really enjoyed that the game focused more horror/exoloration/slow paced thrills as it gave the game time to really create a flow that I have never experienced in a game before.

Amazing followup sequel to one of the my favorite franchises in gaming history. I already bought the digital version of the game for xbox series x when it first released. However, it being on of my beloved franchises, when they announced that they would release a physical version of the game i had to buy. The visuals are stunning and are even more enhanced with the ps5 pro. Gripping story that is narrated beautifully. Game of the year candidate for sure.

This game has kept my interest. Following a prebuilt storyline that can be modified to as a story writer is an interesting concept. Mix that with some jump scare and shooting makes for a good time. Looking forward to seeing this game through to the end.

This game is awesome. It really feels like Remedy made a game they just wanted to make; not to appease executives or solely for the sake of money. If you liked Alan Wake 2, or more so, Control, you’ll like this game. Particularly enjoyed how this games connects with most of Remedy’s other games, as well. Great visuals, unique style, compelling story, and good gameplay make this a must-play.

I never had the chance to play the original Alan wake. This takes care if that while also delivering on a entirely new and mesmerizing atmosphere in one if the most beatiful games ive ever played - Alan Wake II. Melancholic, hauntingly pretty, and thrilling. Id say this is a must for any gamer and especially for a collection.

Loved the first Alan Wake back in 2010. This game takes it to another level. The long wait was worth it. Gameplay, story, characters, music, sound, world, etc. all great. A masterpiece and highly recommended.

Superb game. If you've played Alan Wake 1, Quantum Break, Max Payne, or Control, this is a game that builds on and from each. It borders on the strange, but is a joy to play and immerse yourself in. Sets up a Control sequel, and teases what Jack Joyce has been up to, albeit via a different name because Microsoft won't let go of Quantum Break.
if you haven't played Alan Wake 1, it's essential to understand a lot of what's happening. Thankfully, this comes with that game too digitally.

This is such a far superior game to the original shallow and incompetent Horror-lite feel. And while this is a departure from the original game I think it's instead how the original game should've been. In my opinion at least. this is much more fun and immersive and less of that Resident Evil 4 arcade like feel the original had.
Alan Wake 2 is a bit of investigation, a bit of exploration, a lot of weird horror, and some decent shooting, all rolled inside an amazing looking game.
And as a bonus this brings a digital version of Alan Wake Remastered. So rejoice or whatever.

I love everything to do with the 'Remedy-verse'. I don't know why I slept on picking up the sequel for so long, this is easily one of the most memorable and surreal experiences I've had playing a game.
