Phone for mom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tracfone phone was a gift for my elderly mom. She is not a techie person and just wanted to make phone calls. Once she was trained to use the phone (remember not techie) she finally had the freedom and safety to have her own phone anytime anywhere. That was a great feeling for her. She really likes it!

Great Camera for Seniors
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only complaint is the display screen does not show minutes and days remaining on current TracFone contract like my LG 440G TracFone Cellular Phone Prepaid Flip Cell does on my other line.

great flip camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't use a cell phone much, so this inexpensive flip phone was just what I needed. If I had one thing to complain about, it's the button on the side that puts the phone in camera mode. It's too easy to accidentally hit the button while using the phone and suddenly have the phone screen displaying everything the camera lens sees. Fortunately pressing the 'back' button twice quickly exits the camera mode. The sound quality is quite good when using the phone. The buttons on the phone large and easy to use. The documentation that comes with the phone could be better as finding out how to add contacts in the phone is a bit tricky to figure out. All in all it's a good price for someone who needs a cell phone for emergency use only. Paired with Tracfone 60 minutes for 90 days for about $20, it's quite a good deal.

does the basics
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't do anything particularly well, but it does a lot of things well enough. It has good reception clear sound, an array of alarms and apps for calendars and calculators. It suffers when it comes to fancier expectations. the texting isn't very intuitive and can take a while to complete, the camera is low-res and the menu can be difficult to navigate. I had to search online to figure out how to check my messages or how many minutes are left on the plan. This works well for making calls and to a lesser extent texting, but that's about it. For people who want a smartphone search elsewhere.

Tracfone MyFlip is an outstanding product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe that TracFone MyFlip is the best value cellular phone for those who do not keep their faces in their phone 18-hours a day! If one does not need ALL the features of a $600 "smart" phone, then the Tracfone Flip is the route to take. That being said, the phone does have excellent features and the phone is easy to use. Finally, for those of us who primarily have a cellular phone for emergency/safety situations, contracting with Tracfone is clearly the best value as it is the least cost provider and its coverage in the US is nearly 100%..

Perfect phone for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought a smart phone and after a few months regretted my choice. I wished I had my old flip phone back and was delighted to find that they're still being manufactured new. I have no need to carry my life around in my pocket and only need a phone to call and on rare occasions, to text. It's lightweight and easy to carry in my pocket. It has many of the apps that my smart phone had which I'll never use, but I often use the timer, the alarms, the calculator, and unit conversion the camera and recorder. It does not have a speaker--that is the only function that is lacking for me. I'm very happy with this phone.

Alcatel Flip Phone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent flip phone for someone who mostly just wants to make and take phone calls. It is a little more complicated than the old one that we had, but with practice it's easy enough to get used to it. It does have a few more features and with that comes more technology. It is a better phone than our original flip phone.

Good basic cell
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with this cell, with one exception. Unfortunately you can't see the battery life on the front screen...you have to go into settings to find it and see how much battery is left. Other than that, it's a good cell.

Nice simple phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am liking this phone more than I thought I would. I had a smart phone that suddenly decided to hang up on an OS update right before a trip. I bought this phone to have something to use. Now that I have it, I appreciate the simplicity of a phone that just acts like a phone. I bought it with the TracFone 60 minute 90 day card. I was pleased to find that it actually gave me 180 minutes and 180 Mb of data. Some of the TracFone phones do the 3x deal. I'm glad this one did. It makes it affordable enough to use as a regular phone. I almost bought a TracFone smart phone because they offer 500 minutes and 500 Mb for 30 days at a cost of $15 (versus $20 for the 60 minutes of this phone). If I keep getting 180 minutes with each refill, I will be very happy. Otherwise, it is a nice emergency phone, but not much more. I did have a little trouble navigating the initial set-up because the instructions that come with the phone lack even basic details, like how to switch case when entering a Wi-Fi password. However, the tech support was fairly helpful.

Works great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just started a new business. I needed a phone for voicemail but did not want a landline or to get a separate line added to my already expensive existing cell bill. I decided to go with this phone. fairly easy to activate, easy to use. It also does not feel or look cheap. Have no complaints thus far.

nice phone, bad service setup by BestBuy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy had an offer "if they activated the phone upon buying". I let them do this giving the info requested and did as told, paid for another 30 day unlimited talk/text ? gig plan before the 30 days expired from date activated. Suddenly after using phone calling, getting calls, something called SmartTalk or StreetTalk intercepted my outgoing calls and asks for payment for to use the phone. I have nothing from BestBuy via e-mail other han mention of the activation that I need to do, though they did it already. This is a terrific drag as now can't use phone middle of the second month though I paid for the month and Tracfone shows service until 1/30/20 as I paid for.

Phoneless husband
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband has needed a cell phone, but has resisted all technology. I bought this flip phone for him and is easy enough to work. Now he is connected in case of an emergency. Soon he will want a smartphone.

Great little phone for those that rarely use cells
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little clam shell phone for those people that are not wireheads and so only need a cell phone occasionally . Nice size screen, No butt dialing with the clam shell. Numbers on the keypad are large and easy to see. Has Wifi so you can connect to your computer and save on data , Has a camera . Has space for a memory card inside for extra memory but you have to buy that yourself.

Good emergency phone for seniors
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I set this up for an senior parent and it was easy to use with large buttons and a visible screen. No issues. Good for someone who wants a flip-phone and not a more complicated smartphone.

Simple and safe 1st phone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this phone for my youngest son as his 1st phone, and it does the trick. He's pretty rough with handheld electronics, so I did not want to buy something too expensive, and that he'd break pretty quick. Even though it is a flip phone, it still provides for some of the basic sets of functionality a communication device needs. The numbers are large and easy to see, no real need for a case to protect the screen since it is a flip, and the interface is simple but intuitive. If he can make it last at least 12 months, we got our money's worth out of the device. The TracFone service plan is where the bulk of the money went... c'mon TracFone, make your prices a little more respectable for the service you offer. This is NOT a "triple or double for life" phone... straight up basic pre-paid phone plans.
