Worst experience with a phone ever

Best Buy offers plans at time of purchase, but Tracfone never sends the Activation PIN to use the phone. Spent hour at store before they finally gave up and I had to purchase separate phone card. Got home and can't activate even with a PIN because now Tracfone says that the phone wasn't scanned/activated at the store even though the IMEI that matches the phone is clearly printed on the receipt. Spoke with 3 or 4 people at Tracfone, each one more inept than the next. Phone was bought due to an emergency situation and the best they can do is ask for a copy of receipt and tell me that a phone I need tomorrow will take 48 hours to activate. At this point, I think about any other phone would be a better choice than Tracfone.

You must fund 3 different pots for it operate. Just another way that Tracfone to make money. Once you figure out how to compose texts my left index keeps turning on the camera. The camera on button is in a spot needed to grip the phone with one hand and entering letters with the other hand. My previous phone Samsung S150G was a far better phone but Tracfone is pulling the plug on those because it's a G3 versus a G4. This Alcatel MyFlip is not a good G4 phone to buy. Buyer beware.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Texting is a pain: since not a touch screen the numbers are used for alphabet, so you are clicking up to 4 times to enter each letter. The select switch is a-way toggle direction, up-down, right-left, plus press center of the switch for select so it is very easy to select something (as in CALL) when you really meant to move down the list, or read more of a message. The inside larger view screen is only 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" inches- but you only get about half that or less to see a message since the bottom half is displaying other details, and the outside screen is a hair over 1"x1".
