As a avid gamer and user of Alienware products in the past, I was happy to get this one up and running as quick as possible. Once it was done I put it through it's paces and here are my thoughts on this laptop. Good: 1. small and light (compared to my other ones) 2. screen is bright and colors are great 3. resolution is tight and refresh makes the games almost blur free (there always has to be some) 4. color and material of device makes it more print resistant than most others I have used in the past 5. keys has nice travel and have not missed a click when using them so far. 6. keys are spaced enough so I do not hit the wrong one when it counts (like in gaming) 7. boot and system speed are top notch for a new machine and gets me up and running quickly. 8. connected quickly to my mesh wifi and runs very fast on the network. much better then my other brands that use same network tech Bad: 1. still uses barrel charger which is a pain since it sticks straight out and can hinder where you put the laptop. you can use a USB-C cable but unless you spend a small fortune to get a high wattage one, you are stuck with barrel 2. comes with 32gb of ddr5 memory, Which is not bad, but it is on one chip. Therefore you do have space for another chip, but it runs in single mode and not dual mode (like if you had 2x16 instead) 3. bloatware is a no go. after getting the system up and running, I spend a while getting them off the machine. McAfee slows the system down and always has pop-ups when you are using the laptop. 4. the speakers are terrible. I know that most gamers use headphones, but when the time comes to just chill, the speakers are lacking bottom end and mainly stay in high to high-mid range, making the sound very hollow. 5. Alienware Command Center is normally on the laptops. This one is not ( you can install it though), but since it does not have any RGB lights and such, or able to overclock it. There is little use for the program other than monitoring your system resources. So am I glad I got this? Yes, I am and look forward to many quests with it soon. Would I recommend to a friend? A gamer friend Yes, I would. This is a great little laptop with lots of up to date and exciting specs. I will however, be adding more ram and ssd's in the near future.

Alienware is a brand most everyone is familiar with, whether it be their "boutique" origins or their explosion in popularity after being purchased by by Dell coming up on 20 years ago now. I have a few of their products and can say they are almost always very well built and have interesting colors, materials, and design choices to help distinguish them in both extreme and subtle ways from their peers. Most all of the performance is to be expected. This laptop will handle just about any AAA game on 8/10 settings you can throw at it. Having said that, it will raise a stink (or an alarm) via its fans very quickly. This thing either runs hot or preemptively gets the fans up and running straight away unless you go into the Alienware Command software and force it to not go into performance mode. With that being said, it also randomly crashes/freezes. I say randomly because I tried replicating it and no matter what I do it would never be at the same time in a game, same instance, same interval, etc, it would happen 10 minutes into a game. 20 minutes after I was done and I'm just scrolling around online, but the entire laptop would lock up and force me to do a hard restart to get it up and running again. I am purposefully using the past tense as it hasn't happened in about a week, but for the first two weeks of using it, it was happening once every 2-3 days. So something to be mindful of. Everything else is great aside from the fans and the locking up bit. The color is a beautiful matte blue with a very subtle texture to it that feels very expensive for lack of a better word. Would recommend, just be mindful of the heat and possibility of random crashes. I didn't see too many other reviewers mention it, only a handful, so could be a total annommolly.

This is my fourth Alienware computer over the last 15 years and I can honestly say they just seem to somehow get better. As soon as you cut it on for setup, it immediately hits you with a beautiful array of colors. I was nothing but excited. The 32GB of Memory Are on full display right out of the box. I downloaded three of my favorite games and what felt like a couple of seconds and hopped right on. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 kept the action going and beautiful, well you know the RAM was doing its part. Now to put it all together there is a terabyte of memory. I was thinking about expanding it but for the moment it will definitely do. Once I stop gaming and gawking and being super happy, I decided I would move on to just regular day-to-day operations and school work. Again lightning fast. I'm pretty sure this is the biggest RAM size I've ever had in any computer. It can handle everything I've thrown at it so far. My recommendation is next level and overly simple. Buy this for whatever you do on a computer. Most notably gaming, but even if you work in I.T., design, complicated or expanded school. Work with multiple monitors. As long as you have the right hookups. This is the laptop for everyone.

This Alienware laptop is a great gaming laptop. It features a 15.3 inch, 1920x1200 screen with a 165 hz refresh rate, AMD Ryzen 200 R7 CUP, NVidia RTX 5060 graphics, 1TB ssd, and 32GB RAM. Design wise, as gaming laptops go, this one is actually pretty understated. It has a white backlit keyboard, and that's about it. Other than that and the Alienware logo on the front, it looks like any other laptop. But spec wise, this thing is pretty well spec-ed. The processor and graphics card is a great combo that can handle most modern games with ease. And on the 165hz screen, everything looks really smooth with no noticeable lag. The 32GB RAM is a nice touch, as most laptops, even gaming ones, I've seen lately have only had 16GB. The extra RAM just helps push this system's performance that last little bit. Overall, I am really happy with this laptop. It has great gaming performance, and a sleek, understated design. If you are looking for a gaming laptop that really performs but isn't in your face with RGB lighting and all that, this is the perfect laptop for you.
