This monitor provides an easy, and very nice gaming experience. It comes well packaged and is easy to set up. It has something of a large footprint due to the serious support legs that hold the monitor steady when you raise it to your preferred height. It also supports the monitor when you turn it to portrait mode — not something you need so much for gaming, but great for working on documents. Having two HDMI ports makes this a great monitor for VR use! It also has a DisplayPort input. This monitor does not have any built-in speakers. Although this would have added to the weight/footprint, I think it would be nice for gaming. Given a choice between built-in audio and portrait mode, I would have like the speakers!

The graphics are incredible! Truly the clearest computer monitor I have ever seen. The customization options are endless. We use it to play various games from Minecraft to Doom and being able to adjust the settings for each game makes it much easier to play. The setup was incredibly easy. The monitor came packaged very well. The 3 cords connected where they were supposed to and having the option to conceal them with the cover on the back of the monitor as well as in the stand makes our desk much more organized. The drivers were installed in less than 5 minutes. The option to rotate the monitor to use in landscape or portrait mode has been really fun to play around with. Overall I am extremely happy with this monitor and would highly recommend it!

Simply put, this is a spectacular monitor. I had to replace a 10 year-old 22" monitor and decided to step up to this Alienware 25". The styling of the monitor is right out of Star Trek. The adjustable height allowed me to fit the monitor into my desk. I tested the response time with a variety of online programs as well as some super hi-def video games. The quality of the image is mesmerizing. No wonder why Alienware is best-in-class. If you're looking for a serious monitor, this is the one to get!

It starts as a nice monitor, don't get me wrong. But one month in pixels started failing. And Dell's customer service thought it adequate to send a scratched up, refurbished panel as replacement. Again, just ONE MONTH in. For the money, you can do a heck of a lot better than this and from a company that actually respects it's customers. But if you do still want this monitor, save yourself a few bucks and buy it refurbished from the start... because one month in that's what you'll have anyway.
