RECYCLED!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an interesting movie. I enjoyed it. It's unfortunate how sinful human nature seeks to destroy whatever is good.

Good movie and in 3D too
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good movie, even in 3D, like all si-fi movies, and good actions. Hope there will be 4K 3D TV, so that I can enjoy the 3D version of the blue ray disc.

A great CGI/Human interface in a movie!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do humans have the capability to advance robotics into a human-like realm advancing only the good and moral traits? We will eventually get to the point of human qualities so can we guarantee that only good can come from it? This movie tries to answer that question and shows what both extremes can be.

Faithful to the Source
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a very enjoyable movie. The actor that plays Alita is very endearing, the CG is very well done and doesn’t ruin your immersion into the movie, and overall they stay faithful to the source material of the manga and OVA. I hope this gets a sequel we deserve to see through these characters story

Fantastic CGI Movie - Best of 2019
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing film with action, storyline, graphics, visual effects and well developed characters that will draw the viewer in. Film is a superb blend of CGI and real life characters. Alita as a female action hero, can rival any out there. Cameron/Rodriguez and the great cast and crew created a masterpiece!

Very cool
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very different sci-fi movie. I only seen the previews of this movie. Until I bought the steel book of this movie. I was very surprised how it turned out but the graphics and everything about it is pretty darn good it has a good plot in the end it was superb. But it differently different.

Great movie!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t see this in theaters but after checking it out this movie was amazing keeping me wanting to find out what happens next. The steel book art work was the main reason I bought this and it does not disappoint. The best part is being able to have 3D since it is dying. Overall this is a great buy

The Manga Brought to Life
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning the rights to the Japanese comic for years James Cameron brings to the big screen the story of Aliya! Under the directorial eye of Robert Rodriguez the bionic world of the discarded warrior is realized in breathtaking colors. The world of Alita is a sight to behold as action and excitement hovers overhead! If you know the manga this comes from you won’t be disappointed, and f all of this is a new discovery you are in for a terrific time! Battle Angel Alita is a movie that is not to be missed!

Alita: Meh Angel
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an interesting film, an adaptation of a Manga series of a dystopian future, but the story itself feels a bit heartless. Instead of being an amazing film that could lead to sequels, it instead plays the set-up role, offering a rather shallow plot to try and lead into a bigger sequel (should that even come about). It only hints at a larger world, hosts a villain who scarcely even interacts with the hero (and has nearly zero screen time), teases a better world floating above them yet gives not so much as a glimpse as to why (only offering tidbits of pining by characters). Instead of giving the audience a solid story, it comes off feeling unfinished, like reading the first ten chapters of a book. The world it is based in is intriguing, the CG is beautiful, and the technological wonders open the imagination as to what else this world holds. But the story falls rather flat. The love story is so paper thin and it feels forced, same for the clash between the kids and the hunter Zapan, as if the only way to create conflict was to inject it via attitude badassery and nothing else. Alita's backstory, what little we're given, is a spark of interest, but it's so veiled and teased that it cannot overcome the rest of the film's faults. As I said, it's an interesting film, an enjoyable popcorn flick if you're not overly concerned with story depth and just want to enjoy the cyborg CG action. Perhaps, if a second film is actually made, it will bring more life to the series story, but for now I find it rather "meh".

Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for this movie and didn't get to see it in theaters. My expectations were met and exceeded when i finally watched at home in 4k. The acting was great and the CGI was extremely realistic. Highly recommend to any action movie fans, or any fans of great stories and amazing visuals.

Great 3D Film, Awesome to have 4k copy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Film. Excellent Value for the product. 3D Blu-rays are hard to find let alone in a set with 4k Ultra HD.

Movie not great/picture fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie is not the greatest. Story is little underwhelming but some of the visuals are well done. And the 4k transfer does look fantastic.

Better than I expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never heard of this movie having a theater run; Read about it and decided to buy it on the gamble it would be a good movie. The movie was good, the special effects in 4K, awesome! The plot line borders on for “millennials” only though. The steel box and digital copy are the icing on the cake.

Great CGI; Great 3D; Lousy ending!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CGI, 3D rendering, and storyline were very good, but there was really no build up to a climatic end. In fact there really was no end. It’s like the old days when you went to see a 3hr movie that had an intermission half way through, except there was no coming back to your seat to watch the rest of the movie. It just kind of ended abruptly. Either they have a sequel already in the works, or the editing was a butcher job. I’ll go with the first possibility considering it’s James Cameron.
