But the CGI and performance of Alita, done by Rosa Salazar are fantastic. You’re able to connect with this virtual character almost instantly, and are introduced to this fascinating world through her eyes. The action sequences, especially the motorball one, are some of the best of the year and stand up with the best action scenes in the past 5 years.

Alita: Battle Angel [Includes Digital Copy] [Blu-ray/DVD] [2019] is a very great underrated. movie. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron, how can you go wrong. This copy comes in DVD, Blu-ray and Digital formats. With the digital I can watch the movie anywhere and not worry about dragging my discs around. The visuals are so life like. The bonus features have information about how the character Alita came to life. After first watching this movie I knew I had to add it to my movie collection

Aside from the 4 versions you can own Alita in with this purchase, the additional features within the Blu-ray Disc are sweet! Got certain questions about the world? There's a stylistic set of shorts that answer them as a special feature. Of course you can choose to go read up on the Manga Alita was based on, though the shorts have a generalized storytelling of events leading up to the time the movie is set after. I highly recommend buying some format of Alita in order to show that the audience wants a sequel!

I will admit I have never heard of the Alita franchise until a friend of mine when 1000% hype on it and made he watch it with him. Needless to say, I loved it (and borrowed all his manga). The steelbook is wonderful with the original art on the inside. I was actually shocked to see they still made 3D movies since I believe the last 3d tv was made 2-3 years ago. I still have my Samsung ES7100 3D tv and fired the 3d bluray right up and WOW. It looks amazing and I rewatched it at least 3 times in 3d.

If you like SyFy ... annnd ... If you missed seeing this movie on the big screen ... it was AWESOME! Not to worry though, you can get the Blu-Ray DVD and watch it on (hopefully) your REALLY BIG screen t.v. at home. Plus, you get the added 'bennies' of the extras. This movie IS NOT to be missed. And once you watch it, if you want to see prequels/sequels you need to 'voice up' and be heard. C'mon James Cameron "make some more and we will come!" Ok, yes ... sorry ... modifying "Field of Dreams" ... a bit.

Really great 4k disc. The picture quality is amazing

Robert Rodriguez has given us another gem and I would put it on par with some of his best. We rarely get the opportunity to see such a seamless blend of masterfully crafted postmodern storytelling with new cinema spectacle, and a careful viewer has more than a fair chance of finding more in the story than what is presented on its surface, which critics expectedly find to be pretty mediocre. For those that love surfing the undertones, Alita: Battle Angel is probably your movie this year.

Great movie! I was expecting more from the 4K Ultra transfer, but it wasn't noticeably better than a good Blu-ray release. Still if you don't have it and like cyberpunk-esque filcks buy it!

The Steelbook 'box' itself feels very solid and has nice artwork inside, and stunning artwork on the front cover. Inside the Steelbook, you will find 3 separate discs. There is a regular Blu-ray disc, a 3-D disc, and a 4K/UHD disc. Each of the three has their own unique artwork covering a scene out of the movie. None of the discs presented any problem when being played. Alita: Battle Angel is a visually stunning film, and this Steelbook shows off the beauty of the movie wonderfully.

I missed this in the theaters, however, I'm glad I picked up a copy, especially in the SteelBook edition! First, i wasn't even aware that this was based on a book so I'm going to have to make some time to read said book in the near future. Second, I was really impressed at the movie in general without any knowledge of the storyline; the cinematography is just amazing, especially in 4K! The action scenes were great and I would definitely consider this a movie suitable for most ages.

I really liked the story. The 3D and 4K BluRay look and sound incredible. The warmth and balance of the 4K and 3D video detail are excellent. The 7.1 DTS HD Master Audio sound is fantastic and it submerges you into the depths of the Iron City and right into the middle of Alitas world. It’s has all the makings of the next big movie franchise! It left me wanting more. I cannot wait to see where Alita goes from here. I was was thoroughly entertained and highly recommend this movie.

This sold out lightning fast, so I hope that those in charge of the future of an Alita movie franchise are watching the sales and seeing how much the fans want more Alita. The picture/audio quality is fantastic. I wish there were more in depth special features like about creating such a lifelike character like Alita was possible. I am not upset with the features provided though. I also would've liked this to have been glossy rather than matte, but that's personal preference.

The Alita Battle Angel steelbook exclusive at Best Buy is the perfect value of technical viewing formats and Alita Army fan appreciation. The steelbook includes the must have 4k and 3D formats with digital and Blu Ray options and lots of extras. I am not sure if the extras are exclusive though. Plus the excellent steel book has a wonderful matte finish and great interior designs to add to any Alita Fan's collection. Well worth the purchase if you can get a hold of it!

Alita Battle Angel has a great story line to follow that is futuristic and interesting. Alita spends the movie trying to find out who she and when she fights her memory provides flashbacks. There are some plot twists, of course, which add to the intrigue. The film has a lot of action and scenes to keep you on edge. The fighting scenes are pretty incredible and look amazing. Infact the cinematography is just as amazing. This is one movie you will want to watch in 4k!

This is one of the Mangas turned Anime that I really liked because it was more true to its original content than others. So when the movie was announce, I was really hoping they would do the same and I wasn't disappointed. The Anime did take some creative differences with the story, but didn't deviate that much. I was happy to see how the movie kept more in line with the Manga. A great first, or what I am hoping to be, many more movies to come in the Battle Angel story.

I went into this film knowing nothing about the source material and came out really wanting to see more. It's full of heart at its core with some really impressive action sequences through out the film. The film has a stellar cast of people who genuinely seem invested in the roles they were given. I would highly recommend this film to anyone and grade this overall at A-. I hope they make another one as I very much want to see where the series could go next.

Excellent anime movie. A must see. Excited that they finally announced that they are going to start working on part 2. Added it to my movie collection of Blu-ray before BestBuy stops selling in stores

This may be the best looking film of the decade. It is truly an impressive world. It manages to duplicate the distinct look of the manga. The story is really well-balanced in both action and drama and light and dark. There are moments of wonder and human kindness in this, but also moments of darkness in a dog-eat-dog world. I don’t know why some people are complaining about the eyes. They were appropriate and made the character look otherworldly and beautiful.

Had been waiting on Alita for years, didn’t disappoint. In an era where we get more or less the same Marvel movie over and over again (entertaining as they may be) it’s a shame this didn’t do better business in the states. This release features excellent Dolby vision HDR that help pop this great mixture of live action and CGI awe well as a very active Dolby atmos track. The steelbook packaging is sharp and does include artwork on the inside as well.
