Went into the first Alita viewing not knowing what to expect except I heard the visuals were amazing. Ended up just loving it. Sucks you in, lots of cool ideas, some beautiful action, and it’s even pretty sweet. It’s not without its flaws, but (extremely Griffin Newman voice) it’s kiiind of a perfect movie. Some lines in here that will get your blood pumpin. Cool special features, pretty steelbook. Just give yourself over to this dang thing already.

If you like futuristic/cyberpunk style movies like BladeRunner, Ghost in the Shell, Robocop, Total Recall and Judge Dredd this should be right up your alley! I watched the standard 1080 blu ray of the film and it was visually stunning on my 2012 Panasonic plasma so I can only imagine what the 4k looks like on a good 4k setup. The story was pretty solid and as far as watching it with the little ones it had one F bomb and a little blood and violence.

Enjoyed and we watched 3 times already - tried on our 4K HDR Tv and the 3D on projector blows this away even though only 1080P - getting the emersion with 3D made this way more enjoyable. Some comanys have no Clue about their customers and putting the 3D version in the mix - we only buy 3D disks - Glad we Picked this one up - waiting for the next Battle Angel

Saw the anime such a long time ago. I could hardly remember what the story was about. After seeing the movie in theaters, barely a drop of memory of the animated version had come back into my mind. However, the feelings of wonderment, of delight and amusement came pouring in like a flood. The very same feelings I felt when I was a kid. A generation apart, and yet this movie was able to capture the same emotions from me. Movie maker, you did good.

'Alita: Battle Angel' is stunning achievement from Director Robert Rodriguez and Producer Jim Cameron! Filled with real heart, gorgeous design, heart-pounding action, a thrilling, beautiful film score, a great cast and, most importantly, Alita herself. She is not just a special effect. Alita is a fully realized character that you will fall in love with from the moment she opens her eyes. An incredible film from start to finish! Bring on a sequel!

I wasn’t sure how I felt about this film, I didn’t see it in theaters and trailer didn’t catch my attention. I didn’t know it was from a manga... oops. Then right before DVD release a cousin of mine had urged me to see it. It’s rare that he gives me feedback like that. Picked it up, watched it. I couldn’t believe I skipped this in theaters. It was Gooooooood! The animation, the music, all stunning! Oh and 4K! Very goood! Happy with my purchase!

Yes I love to buy 3D movies at Best Buy, but I live in Medford and my Medford store usually never carries 3D movies I always have to buy them from the Gresham store and have my brother who lives in Gresham Oregon pick him up and ship them to me it would be nice if any movie that comes out in 3D that you could sell them at the Medford location because there are people here in Medford that have 3D TVs and 3D players. While the movie is an enjoyable one I want to focus on the fact that this set includes 3D, 4K and Blu-ray. In my mind this is absolutely the best value for movie fans, giving you the option of watching the movie in any format you want. There are still many people who love 3D so a big thank you to the studio for not abandoning us like all the other ones.

I loved this movie. Like with many hyped up titles, I was keeping low expectations just to avoid potential disappointment, but I was more than pleased after watching it. I really hope sequels are made. I am not familiar with the original anime, but I'd be willing to bet that this was adapted quite well. Regarding the case, I love the simple design of it, but also that the hand has so much detail. It is a welcome addition to the collection.

Alita doesn't miss the mark from its source material. Cameron and Rodriguez's adaptation of the cult classic manga shines through Rosa Salizar's brilliant performance. I wanted to pick this movie apart and find flaws but there are none so major that I can warrant quibbling or complaning over them. A fantastic film that delivers that "mono no aware" that anime lovers find lacking in every Hollywood adaptation to date. Don't miss this one.

This Blu-ray and DVD combo was a good value at Best Buy. I enjoyed the movie at lot at the theater, and I would recommend giving it a try. The Blu-ray video and sound quality are excellent. The sub-menus were easy to use. The Blu-ray doesn't have those annoying previews, so you can go straight to the "setup and play" menu and begin watching the movie. The extra "behind the scenes" interviews about the movie's background was very interesting, and I was pleased to learn that the director and producers tried to remain faithful to the original Japanese manga, even trying to incorporate specific manga pictures into movie scenes. This was a very underrated film, in my opinion, and the Blu-ray or DVD is well worth watching.

This movie is great, has amazing lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

I love this movie! Not alot of surround sound going on in the speakers but its ok? 3D version not so much 3D going on either except when Alita is fighting the cyborg with the Claw Hands. Other than that your better off saving money and just getting it in regular standard copy. I just bought it for the steelbook art and me thinking that the 3D was going to be eyepopping but it wasnt. I was actually disappointed in the 3D version.

Excellent sci-fi adventure from James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez. knew nothing of this movie going in to see it other than a controversy about her eyes. It's that slight uncanny valley in addition to the superb cgi that actually makes this movie click. At its core its about a girl with no memory trying to find out who she really is while being found at the bottom of an elitist dystopian class system. Great movie, great fun.

I bought this movie blind. i missed seeing it in theaters but from the trailers I knew I'd like it and I couldn't resist the steelbook. it looks beautiful in person. the movie itself is fantastic. it's not perfect by any means but it's a really fun movie set in a really interesting sci-fi world full of cyborgs and floating cities. some of the acting is just okay, but ultimately that can be easily ignored. I highly recommend.

I'f you've ever read the manga or watch the animated movie then you'll love this live edition. Galy or alita is found in the junk yard below zyon. This cyborg is reconstructed and ready to battle. Learning to adjust to her new life, not remembering any thing from her old. Alita battles evil henchmen, cyborgs and corrupt administrators while finding new joys and sorrows in the dark city. Get ready to battle...Alita is.

The storyline is great. Exciting from start to finish. The graphics are really cool. Its like I didn't wanna blink at all. The plot is not mind-numbing as critics say. Well it seems like I have to stop listening to them. Because this film is worth watching by everyone. Thank you for all people behind this movie. I'm sure this movie wasn't easy to make. Now I really hope I don't have to wait too long for the sequel...

Another James Cameron movie that was literally out of this world! It sat on the back burner for over 15 years, because he decided to do Avatar first instead of Alita, and I was thoroughly impressed with the actress that portrayed Alita in the movie, because she is a spitting image of her down to the Core. We haven't had a chance to watch it in 3D yet, but I'm sure that it will be as awesome as watching it on 4K.

This is a high-action film. Lots of “violence”. But no real blood and guts. Any violence is seen after-the-fact as in a cyborg having a blue blood bleeding nose. Probably not recommended for the youngest of kids but will impress and delight most audiences. It has a touch of the romantic in it as well as the unfolding mystery of one with amnesia in a dystopian future. It also concludes with a nice setup for sequels.

I enjoyed this DVD very much. Great A I . Will be getting the second movie
