I missed this in the theater, so I was glad to see it out in 3d at Best Buy. Produced by James Cameron and directed by Robert Rodríguez, it is based on a Japanese Manga series. A doctor finds a broken cyborg and rebuilds her using a body he built for his daughter. Turns out the girl is a super battle bot with super skills in motorball, the only entertainment in this post apocalyptic society. Violent fun indeed!

Director Robert Rodriguez style of storytelling is perfect for an action-packed, visually stunning movie like Alita. Originally a Japanese manga graphic novel, the story of a discarded cyborg with no memory who faces her destiny in a violent future setting. The special effects on this one are some of the best seen in years, the computer generated imagery blends seamlessly with the live action actors.

What a fun movie and its gorgeous in 4k. This movie is a lot of fun and it's gorgeous. It looks fantastic on a Hisense u8h. The sound is really good too.

Amazing visuals, decent acting and a story that will hold your attention for a couple hours. Action first and everything else is good to passable.

Mainstream media has never had a proper live action adaptation of an anime in the U.S. until Alita: Battle Angel. This is an awesome movie, the adaptation from the Manga to film is almost frame by frame, scene by scene prefect. Which not only helps in delivering a new story for those who do not know the source material, but also in delivering a great live action adaptation of a favorite manga for many fans.

I wasn't prepared with any knowledge regarding this move, the wife picked this up. Had no idea about the plot or the fabulous visual effects this movie employs. In 4K HDR this movie is downright eye candy. This action movie surprised me especially in regards to you actually by into the animated Alita character. Best digital effects I've seen yet. You need this in your collection to show off your 4K TV !

This movie reminds me of films I used to watch growing up that cultivated my love for visual media. Immersive worlds, interesting characters, and a plot that isn't preachy yet provides lessons all age groups can glean from.

Great movie, I loved this movie and in 4k its amazing. bought online and picked up in store super easy and kept me from interacting with other humans.

If you are into sci fi or fantasy then this will be a solid recommendation. Good basic story that is well done. It is a merging of cgi and live action so expect it to be similar in futuristic style as ready player one, and others in that genre. The 4K transfer is sharp and the soundtrack is subdued when it needs to be or quite enveloping with thundering bass during the action sequences. The 3D transfer is also sharp with good foreground/background depth separation. There’s no visible ghosting apparent. Nice to have dvd/3D/4K in one package. Often it’s either choosing between 3d or 4K, but not in this case, which makes it an easy recommendation to pick up this version of the movie.

Alita is a well told story produced by james cameron. The visuals are excellent and the story is engaging. It does a good job of character development and makes you care about the characters. It also DOES NOT throw any "social justice warrior" political correctness in your face like most modern female driven movies do. It also comes with the 3D version which is very rare these days without the extra cost.

With all the right equipment in place 4K UHD Blu-ray player, high-end 4K UHD TV and to bring everything of movie theater to your home would be the ultimate experience of immersive the AVR audio and video signals thru 7.2.4 speakers is an awesome way to view this this futuristic movie to life. I have watch this movie four times and will be do this plenty more times. I really enjoyed it the entire package.

4k disc. Breathtaking. 3D disc. Lots of depth brining the world more alive than even the super sharp 4k disc. Bluray. More greatness. This movie is a masterpiece in its own right even if it isn't on the levels of Avatar in just what the story is. It is a taste of something different and a movie marvel. For the price, you can't beat getting the 4k, 3D, Bluray, and digital copy. Belongs in your collection!

This is a steel that doesn't ring a lot of bells, but if you like simplicity it should work for you. It unfortunately lacks any sort of embossing or debossing, however it does have a lovely application of metal flaking on the gold in the joints of Alita's hand, which makes it pop. From the standpoint of the film, it is quite a fun ride that is exceptionally visually stimulating. It is not perfect, covering a lot of ground very quickly, but on the when it does feel like a satisfying arc. This set comes with a complete roster of formats (even 3D!) So you're getting your money's worth in the process. If you can find one, I wouldn't hesitate to add it to your collection.

I have to admit that I really wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I had heard a roommate mention the character before briefly, and had rented the film on Amazon Prime before purchasing this version from Best Buy. I certainly hope that they do they entire series of books in movie format. This movie made me such a fan, and I am in the process of reading the books now because of the movie.

I really loved this movie and saw it when it came out, but missed the 3D in theaters. So when I saw this again on normal Blu-ray and then next on 3D, I was blown away!! Much, much better than I thought it was going to be and actually immerses you into the story more. The movie leaves you wanting to learn more about Akita, her history as well as her future. So glad I bought the 3D version!!

If you were a fan of Alita: Battle Angel, the 4K 3D Blu Ray combo back is the version you’re gonna want to pick up. The movie strives tremendously off of its visual presentation, and having the option of watching it either in 4K or 3D helps this title out a lot, especially since it doesn’t cost any more than your standard 4K Blu Ray. Seriously, pick this up over the standard Blu Ray.

It was a fun movie and with 4 different ways to watch it i can’t help but recommend Alita. Nice characters interesting world and soild action, if you can get this for a discount its well worth it.

I got the chance to see this movie early, and as far as this movie goes it's really good. The steelbook on the other hand has a very unique style on the design for this cover, the art of the cover both inside and out is one of the most unique I had seen so far, for those who got a chance to get the steelbook before it was sold out I would recommend it to anyone and adding to the collection.

Got this for about $10 on a whim. While not the most compelling piece of cinematography, it’s still a fun watch as a whole. Hope we get to see more of Alita in the future.

I did not think this was going to be a great movie. But, I ended up loving it because of the character and the action. Alita is endearing and you want to root for her every step of the way. The action in this futuristic sci-fi movie is not over the top. It is just enough to keep the moving exciting and interesting. But, if you are looking for a blood fest, this is not your movie.
